King Djoko up now!
Thiem is still win-less against guys who aren't 37-38 in big finals.Lol hes just not good enough. It's not his fault Djokovic is better. Age doesn't matter if your still playing well which is what Novak is doing.
I agree it's not fun. But that's not thiems fault is it. Hes trying to make something happen in such a slow court but how can we expect him to beat Djokovic playing well at AO. Nadal and fed can't do it, no way can thiem
AGREEDGet rid of these silly speeches during the ceremonies. It's just a bunch of fake niceties and politically correct garbage that they have to spout about congratulating the other player and thanking their team and thanking the tournament organisers. It's a pathetic waste of time.
Any tennis fan has to hope that Thiem doesn't wane after this loss. He's had a great tournament and had Djokovic on the ropes. It wasn't a choke - Djokovic just got back to his unplayable best in the 4th set.
He's beaten Nadal at a Slam once now. He's gotta remember that when the likely RG showdown happens.
Wawrinka only beat him once on this court out of 3 tries and that was 9-7 in the 5th. He played the best match of his AO career in 2013 against Djokovic and lost. Why can't people just accept Novak is the greatest AO player ever?Wawarinka was and remains the toughest opponent of Djokovic. Thiem is tough too, but Djokovic believes against him. Djokovic doesn’t have the same belief against Wawrinka.
This is so unfair to Dominic, he played great tournament, anybody else but Nole in finals, he would win, just like in Paris with Rafa.Nadal at RG is way better than Djoko in Melbourne.
Think about this for a minute.
But the comment says Wawrinka was Djokovic biggest AO challenge which is true. He has taken Novak 5 in 3 separate AO matches.Wawrinka only beat him once on this court out of 3 tries and that was 9-7 in the 5th. He played the best match of his AO career in 2013 against Djokovic and lost. Why can't people just accept Novak is the greatest AO player ever?
