Helluva run by Pavs though.
That elusive slam SF remains for Pavs. A whopping 0 from 6 in slam QF’s now dating back to 2011.Helluva run by Pavs though.
So did the woman who interviewed her. When your blood is flowing, sometimes it happens and can’t be helped.am watching this Muguruza vs Pavlyuchenkova match.
Garbine has pretty pronounced pokies! Don't the girl players worry about such things? Don't their coaches or whoever tell them before they walk out on to the court?

Hsieh/Strycova make the doubles final.
Not what the odds guys are saying. Ash is a strong favorite over Sofia. Simona is only a moderate favorite over Garbine. Outrights show Ash more favored than Simona. One way traffic.
With all due respect to Barty, this AO is Halep’s to lose.
Reckon if Ash makes the F it'll be dictated by how she rises to the home crowd pressure? You either collapse under it or rise with it...Not what the odds guys are saying. At least she has reached QFs of all four Slams. Also kind of achievement.Still no slam sf for QFchenkova
Yes good pointAt least she has reached QFs of all four Slams. Also kind of achievement.
It is, of course, but repeated QFs at the same slam is looking like a road block in the person's career. I mean, at least she's putting herself in that position. At least she has reached QFs of all four Slams. Also kind of achievement.
She probably still have couple of years to overcome this trend. There's always hope, Kerber won her 1st slam at 28. And Pavs has all the weapons (on a good day).It is, of course, but repeated QFs at the same slam is looking like a road block in the person's career. I mean, at least she's putting herself in that position.
In her GS QF appearances, she lost to Schiavone at the French, Serena Williams at the US and Wimbledon, and Venus Williams, Danielle Collins and Muguruza at the AO. I mean, Schiavone, Serena and Venus all made the F of the slam that year, Serena won one, and Collins made the semis (Mugu tbc). Not sure any of them were really winnable matches, maybe Collins but she's pretty hard to play against when she isn't missing. Schiavone on paper but 2010 and 2011 she was solid at the French.

Just a terrible match from Pavlyuchenkova.
Muguruza was there for the taking, didn't play well at all, especially in the first set.
She had multiple chances to break and to consolidate breaks but was more interested in handing the set to Muguruza on her own serve.
Once again, Anastasia failed to make it through to a semifinal, and it's becoming apparent why it's very likely she never will.
You 2 watching the same match? Perhaps in differing parallel universes? I would suggest posting in the same universe in which you warched the match. Less confusing for the rest of us.The level of tennis in Pavs vs Muguruza was extremely high. The best 1/4 of four, and definitely the best 1/4 Pavs ever played.
Except for Ash’s serve, yeah.Horrible quality match so far
So does Kenin not want to be called "Sonya" anymore? Where do we stand with that?
I'm fine with it. It's not her birth name. Plenty of people want to stop being referred by a previous nickname. So does Kenin not want to be called "Sonya" anymore? Where do we stand with that?
