Have you watched any of Kenin's matches? She's playing poorly as well. We'll see who starts playing well first. That will determine the ultimate outcome, I think. I'm not watching the ESPN Evert coverage. Is it that bad? Funny, as she was completely dogging Kenin when she played Coco. I can't stand Evert in the commentary booth.

She just basically has not shut up about both players being nervous. Said she’s never in her life seen 2 players this nervous at the same time

She is the worst commentator bar none I don't care what anyone says. To me its not even close.

Barty starting to pull ahead now. Expected when the 1st set was Kenin's best lucky to edge out the set over Barty's worst. I sense a 6-3, 6-2 type score for Barty in the last 2 sets. The match is entirely on her racquet, Kenin is irrelevant to the outcome.

Her slice is ok and I'm sure its more effective against some players but not all. Some players just hate slice.

Honestly it looks easy to attack in a lot of instances to me. She slices a lot when I feel like she should be hitting her 2HBH as well, and she also slices some 2nd serve returns. In the women's game where girls have weak 2nd serves I think that's a terrible strategy.

Agree with everyone here that Evert is terrible, but I actually think she has a close 2nd for worst commentator, and that's Pam Shriver. She's insufferable as well. Though she doesn't have to talk quite as much as Evert.

Bothered her there. Sorry I disagree the slice in the ladies game can really hurt the other player. Barty isn't #1 for nothing. And part of it is her ability to bother people with that slice

I have always wondered why more coaches don't model their students game after someone like Barty. There have been many great womens tennis players who had primary a backhand slice. Steffi Graf and Martina Nav, and others. You would think there would be a few more in the modern game. Maybe its just hard to teach and master.

I don't care how persistent Kenin is, Barty is a class above playing-wise and should have done this in two, instead of being....where she is.

Halep should demolish either unless her level drops massively. Ditto for Garbine.
