Given how much she's won, Serena quite honestly has the worst body language for any ATG male or female

I think she honestly thinks she can win another Slam after becoming a mother and tie Court. It seems ridiculous when you watch her in a match like this, but she has made 4 finals in the past two years (albeit she got beatdown every time). I think she probably gets that her time might be waning and she's genuinely frustrated that she can't seem to get it completely together and that she struggles at times where she didn't previously. She wants to win and is having a hard time, so I get the body language.

Sloppy, sloppy - she just is so unwilling to not hit everything as hard as she can. She had more nuance when she was younger.

It's cringe asf tho. She's giving a poor reaction after every point whether it's falling to the ground after an error, hunching over looking like she's about to have a breakdown or throwing up her hands saying "finally" when she wins a point. She's always been an emotionally charged player but man it's gotten worse and worse as she's aged. It's clearly negatively impacting her performance

Serena is trying to hit everything as hard as she can. Sometimes it works, but more often she loses control and sprays the ball.

Jesus. Lol. Of course - classic WTA.

Why, why, why did it take her until she's on the verge of defeat to play a game like that. She took something off those first two return. During that long game-winning point, she hit some semi-looper positioning shots to just keep the point going. This is what she needs to be doing all the time, combined with her power game. Nuance, point construction - waiting to go for your put away shots.

I in no way think Serena is out of the woods. She could win, could lose in 3, or lose the next two games.

I didn't think Wang would be able to serve it out on her first try. She hasn't been in many big matches so nerves are bound to rattle her. She's still playing well enough to close it out this set.

Serena's sheer raw power is the only thing that's kept her relevant in her post-pregnancy era. Her brute strength allows her to hit through her opponents despite a ton of errors and horrible movement.

I noticed this, too. Just WAY overreacting to every point.
