Djokovic2011

Bionic Poster
He's standing at 4x of Shanghai, Roma and Canada. He'll definitely pass that record.
I doubt he'll ever win Canada again, especially with the Olympics this year. Rome I could see him winning again but only if he plays the first semifinal. I suspect Shanghai will be his best opportunity if he isn't too worn down by the end of the season.

Definitely a softer of the two halves for Djokovic. I would like to see him and Rublev in the final. Can't think of many youngsters he hasn't faced yet.

Can't get rid of Kohlschreiber these days. If they both win their opening round matches, they will meet for the fifth time in the last twelve months.

Musetti qualified with a win over Popyrin. Very impressive from the AO boys champion and 17 year old Italian. I hope he performs well in his ATP debut vs. Rublev.

There isn't even going to be a Shanghai this year

Good win for Tommy Paul in what is looking like it could be his breakout season. He looks to be an established tour level pro at this point and am hoping for the best against Zverev. He's gonna need ATP Cup Zverev and not AO Zverev to show up though. So happy he's finally breaking through and I think he'll finish the year inside the world's top 40. He's got a shot to be the best of this (admittedly crappy) batch of Americans. I hope he can stay healthy.

Given the choice, surely Nishioka would have played in Acapulco? Why has he decided to fly all the way to Dubai with, what, 1 day of rest since his Delray Beach final? Down 1 set against Herbert now.

Rublev steamrolls through Krajinovic in the 2nd set for a bagel. Herbert is leading Evans, the winner will get Rublev in the QF.

Basil Fawlty just did a Bernie Tomic imitation, losing 1&0 to Struff in 39 minutes.

Viral illness??? Two retired in qualies.

Maybe I’m talking a bit too soon, but right now it certainly doesn’t look like Novak wants to take a break until the clay season again this year.

I suspect he’ll try to win as much as needed to remain number 1 but would be very surprised if he reached finals in IW and Miami. I have to think he will want to pace himself.

Novak looking confident and playing great. Yeah I think he wants another winning streak if he can. I think the fact that Rafa is close to Novak in no1 race is helping him.

Djoko wants the weeks at No1 record and knows he has to perform well in every tournament or he risks losing it. I think djoko and Rafa will both have strong runs.
