Nice. Qualifying rounds on Monday and Tuesday, main tournament on Wednesday. Edit: if it happens at all! Some last minute mystery meetings going on apparently.

Question, what's the best way these days to watch these matches legally if you don't have a cable provider? (aka cable cutter..)

Candidates:
- Tennis Channel Plus, $110 upfront, no slams, some matches TV only (=you'll miss them)
- ESPN+, $5/mo, many matches, but iirc some missing matches near the tail end of tournaments.
- TennisTV? Nope, ATP only.
- WTA TV? Nope if in the US (or China). Crazy
- Amazon Prime? Nope, UK and Ireland only

Don’t believe so, think you just need $5.

I have DirecTV though, so can’t answer for sure.
Awesome, I'll definitely give that a shot and expand my elaborate earlier post. :) (after waiting to see what's up with the player council meetings..)

Don’t need cable.

Like other premium video streaming services including Netflix and Hulu, ESPN Plus is a standalone service; you don't need to be a subscriber to one of its old-fashioned TV channels to access it. That said, ESPN Plus is meant to be complementary to your existing ESPN channels.

Hmmm. Maybe the wording they want to convey is that the spectating of Indian Wells is cancelled? That will be absolutely nuts if they outright cancel it, though.

Nope, it’s all cancelled.

The Riverside County Public Health Department has declared a public health emergency for the Coachella Valley after a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19) locally.

That guy is talking out of his ass, no one is sure what's going to happen as this is not a normal situation. Indian Wells may be far from the only tournament that's going to be cancelled. Miami may be cancelled as well along with the European clay events. The rankings may well be frozen starting soon as all those points dropping off would make for some very wonky rankings.

Looks like anything that has large gathering is on hold(canceled for now) if the area has a coronavirus suspect in around it!

Miami cancel as well?

Italian Open definitely wil be cancelled. Not sure about Madrid.

Wuhan and Beijing are for sure are cancelled.

Olympic?
It's too early to make definite predictions. Worst case scenario is most of the year's tournaments may be cancelled and if some do decide to go ahead there will be major question marks as to why they get to play and whether there is still a risk in having thousands of people crammed into an arena. Potentially if they get this under control in the comings months, the grass season or USO warm-ups may go ahead. You're right, maybe as a caution somewhere like Wuhan won't be played but it is very late in the year. I guess it depends on whether the controls which get implemented are good enough or if they will not allow play somewhere like that until the vaccine is developed. What will happen to this virus? Will it just continue to circulate in local populations? There's no 1 policy on travel right now - it's likely there are people carrying the virus between countries as we speak, so if 1 country supposedly 'eradicates' the virus within their population, it could just be flown back in on a plane.
