I don't think he had anything left. It's why he clearly redlined it trying to win the match in 4 sets, but when he came up short, he pretty much threw in the towel in the 5th set.

I couldn't watch live, was just following the scores whenI had a moment. Just saw highlights on the RG site. Was Thiem actually up a break in the first and second sets? Sheesh

There were a lot of breaks, it's the reason why the match time went so long. Tons of long games too, where they went like 6, 7, 8 + deuces.

Quite literally. He's like mini-Djoker. He's 3rd in return games won this year behind you know who so if he had a serve he'd be a monster.

He’ll never be able to blast aces but I don’t really get why he doesn’t have a kick serve....
