Is a revenge around the corner? Or PCB wins this fair & square?

This had to happen didn’t it? Haha. A tough test for Novak but hopefully djoko gets the job done in efficient manner. Will probably be Novak’s toughest match of the clay season so far.

Djoker might cough up a set . And that's giving Busta lots of respect. But I'm going with Djoker in 3; 6-4, 7-6, 6-3.

Nadal vs Djoker in the final will be nerve-racking. It's either going to be 20-20-17, or 20-19-18.

I know Carrena Busta is a natural Clay Player and did beat Bautista Agut but Nadal obliterated Carreno Busta in Rome due to Carrena Busta having little to no power to his shots. I do expect the same result with Djokovic this time around at Roland Garros. Novak in 3 sets.

Seriously, some Djokovic fans are just writing BS all the time. What punishment? Djokovic broke the rules and it is somehow Busta's fault?
Oh I'm not disputing it was Djokovic's fault but ultimately it was Busta's pushing and retrieving which made him do what he did out of frustration. That's probably the way Novak sees it anyway.

Carreno Busta was playing well in the USO match before Djokovic got defaulted. So I doubt this will be a complete blowout.
I think it will be. PCB was crap on clay. He got thrashed by Nadal.
Plus he's injured and has stomach issues. Expecting a bad blowout.

will Busta bust up novak once again ?? i think so. Novak for some reason has match up mental issues against Busta

If Djoker manages his emotions well then he’ll win in 3, if not then PCB will have some small openings like in their USO match. One thing I’ve noticed with each of the big 3 as they age is that they least enjoy matchups against players like PCB: grinders who do nothing exceptional but do everything well. They enjoy matches against the young up and phenoms, but it’s playing against each other that keeps them going.

At the USO Novak reacted to having to play a grinder like PCB in a slam with impatience and anger. Without the prospect of meeting Fed or Rafa on the other side of the draw it seemed like he couldn’t convince himself that grinding through a drawn out, slow, and methodical win over PCB was worth his time. Similarly in 2016, he appeared to lose motivation when both Fed and Nadal were out. If Rafa doesn’t suffer a freak upset or get covid, then I think he’ll stay laser focused on meeting him in finals.

I doubt btw thats the way Djokovic sees it. Busta plays to his capabilities. Djokovic as a professional knows that. I think the way he sees it is he gave Busta a free QF spot for nothing, and now he will want to crush him. He will be motivated this time.

I agree with you. Weirdly enough Djokovic prefers it when his main rivals are in the draw still. He’s always more focused when nadal or federer are still in the latter stages of the tournament.

Djoko at us open probably would been more focused had nadal and federer been there.

lets admit it Busta is just playing better than novak right now. that's why novak was losing to him at US open and he decided to bail out rather than losing to Busta

Ok. Well we'll see, I don't think so - I think it will be 3 or 4 close sets. But maybe I'm wrong.

He still has motivation to win RG twice and complete the double career slam, which no one else has ever done before.

I could be wrong too and you may be right.
But honestly, I saw the entire Novak-KK match. The way Djokovic is playing I would be VERY VERY surprised if PCB even won a set.
Novak here is better than he was at the UsOpen. His game is flowing more and the conditions are perfect for him. Really don't see him losing in this tournament outside of a freak injury or something of that nature.

Djokovic will win it stride, He is playing some of the best tennis of his career ..

Djokovic did not Lull playing Khachanov, I doubt PCB will be able to lull him,, he does that to himself, today he tossed it out. He has lulled many times against many players, yet he is able to come back from it. I attribute this absence of Lull against Khachanov to Marián Vajda .

Cheers

If novak manages his emotions and doesn't go bonkers again he will win in 3, maybe 4 sets if busta really frustrating him. But it will be a close match, one set will go to at least 5-5.
