Sinner will win a total of 9 games. It's hilarious that people are predicting a guy who has never won a single tournament in his career will defeat Nadal on Chatrier. He'll be destroyed, just like everyone else who is not named Djoker/Soderling.

Common sense prevails with this one

Rafa to coast in straight sets. He is and remains the favourite here at Roland Garos and will do so until he retires.

That said both Thiem & Novak can push him all the way here, and possibly take him if he drops his level just a notch.
That’s how I see it too he’s the slight favourite. However, any slight slip can open the door up thiem and Djokovic. I feel it’s very close this year.

Jim Courier is giving commentary during the Thiem-Diego match and just said, "If you've never seen Sinner play, the dude can ball. Rafa's only lost 23 games this tournament so far, but I think Sinner is capable of taking a set if the moment doesn't overwhelm him."

Idk much about sinner but can anyone tell me what’s his weak shot? Is it the forehand or the backhand? What do you wanna attack?

Its 7.35pm there now if Thiem/Diego goes to five it will end at 9pm, add on the women's match to end at 10.30pm. The Ralph match will end past midnight the earliest, are they allowed to go all night long like the Aussie Open?

Most likely. We shall see.

What is the cutoff time?
And wasn't it the case the night matches will be played only from 2021?

Only from 2021 will they have a scheduled evening session. That doesn't mean they can't keep playing long if the matches take a while.
So is there a night curfew kind of a thing in Paris or they can go on for the whole night if needed?
This Thiem-schwartzman match is going the distance and there's still another women's match to come.

Ralph and Sinner have the time to go grab a second serving of dinner and still have it digested before they get on court.

Reschedule the Sinner vs Nadal match so that it's first on Court Philippe Chatrier tomorrow (Wednesday), followed by the Djokovic match. Put the Rublev vs Tsitspas match on Court Suzanne Lenglen. Problem solved.

If this match gets played tonight, which I guess there is still no reason to assume it won't, it will be interesting to see how Sinner will cope with the issue of having sat around all day waiting to play your first slam quarter final against this guy on this court. The wait can't make things easier, and it'll be a good test of his mental strength.

I don't think there's one side you can clearly attack, he hits pretty similarly off both wings (according to Fed mind you), so it's more about moving him around. He can still hit pretty big on the run because of his open stance, but he's not the fastest guy around. His fitness isn't quite as strong as his ground came, so I expect Nadal to try to tire him out, get him to overcook his shots and exhaust him after a set or two.

Nadal is old and fat. He will need a lot of luck to win tomorrow.

Djokovic has this tournament now that Thiem lost. He's also old but not fat.

Have to say it's criminally inept to schedule five matches on a single day. It's 1230 AM in my place, India, and I have to stay awake till 2 AM to watch the match. I know that's not the problem of organizers but I am just venting out
Hell at this rate, I may have to stay up to 2 AM to watch the Nadal match and I live in the Eastern US time zone. But hey FFT, don't bother scheduling any matches on your #2 court.

Nadal will be very nervous to face unfamiliar underdog Sinner after seeing what happened to Thiem. Since Schwartzman is waiting for Rafa in SF, it will add extra pressure on him. Anyway, let's not talk about SF as Rafa is unlikely to defeat Sinner. By the way, Congrats to Djokovic on his 18th Slam title.

There was no tennis for 5 months. Now you get more than you need! LOL

I’d be pretty pissed if I was Rafa and they made me start the match at around 23pm. Will it be postponed until tomorrow? Jeez, terrible scheduling. They’re making it difficult to watch for me and I live in the same freaking timezone.

It’s not gonna be cancelled. It will start round 10 something.

It will start when the women are finished. Do you think they’ll be done in 20-something minutes? Because that’s what’s needed for Nadal to start at 22

Are you in the netherlands? Isn’t it around the same time over there as in paris?
