This is perhaps the most difficult draw to predict 1R survivors in a true 32-man draw. A lot of people are predicting Krajinovic to advance to 2R but he faces 1R uberperformer Tallon Griekspoor, who beat Wawrinka and Khachanov 1R in 2018 and 2019 as a WC.

GriMUG vs Shapovalov could be good tonight. Will watch.

Edit: Eurosport player is streaming the whole tournament.

Shapovalov/Dimitrov Tough draw for Shaps unless Grigor plays poorly he is done.

Cheers

Fucsovics survives a first set, 6-4. Five breaks of serve and they both prove you’re only as good as your second serve...just 5 of 23 points won on second balls.

A very tidy win for Dano Evans (3&5) over Kohlschreiber. He will now face the Fognini/Khachanov winner, scheduled for Tuesday so it’s a day off to rest and pray they grind for three hours.

Nice third set by Felix earned him the win vs Struff.

Fognini manhandled by Khachanov 3&3 in a match not that close. Fognini won less than half his service points.

Bublik squeezes by qualifier Barrère 6-4 in the third.

Paire don’t caire and gets paired from the draw in a paire of one-sided sets won by Bedene, a man from a paire of countries.

He definitely looks like he's turned a corner, performance-wise. Very impressive since Moscow 2019.
The kickstart may have been The Real Slam annihilation of Stanimal and fedr, so soon after a Hamburg final loss to Basil Fawlty. He also started that Cincy run with a 1R revenge win in three sets over Fawlty.

Tsit needs to really work on his return of serve if he’s going to stay/reach the upper echelons of the game.

Didn't know it, but as well as being Med's birthday today, it's also Hurkacz's. Victory over Tsitsipas would be a great way to celebrate. Up a set...
