Thrilling doubles match where Bopanna and Shapo won a super tie break 10-7 after winning a super tie break 10-8 in their first match. Too bad it wasn't televised. On to the semi-final.

First time watching Popsicle.
Here's my $0.02.

He's built perfectly as a doubles player, tall and lean.
He's got a very effective serve as a weapon.
He moves well for a big guy.
His ground strokes are suspect. Not consistent enough.
He does have a bigger punch on the ground vs. Kraj but that probably won't be enough.

Kraj's serving is very respectable today.
His ground strokes are more consistent than Pop's and that's the key.

Crazy TB goes to Krajinovic FTW. He served for the match at 5-4 but Pospisil won both points and then lost his first SP of the TB (had a SP at 30-40, 5-6 too). Krajinovic then converted his 4th MP at 7-8 on Pospisil’s serve.

Wow, didn't know Tsitsipas went out too.

You never know what Krajinovic will do next. Should have never allowed a break back when his opponent was struggling to move. Glad he won eventually.

Five quarterfinalists looking to win their first career title this week, Monfils aiming to defend Rotterdam, and Rublev chasing his third title for the season... Oh and Busta is there too, whatever LOL. Nice line-up now.

He looks in good form. I say yeas he does repeat.
He’s 9-21 in finals and won one of those nine last week. Odds are slim he wins back to back weeks. Also, he has never defended a title, even at Montpellier where he had won two of his eight crowns before last week.

I like Rublev out of the top half. He has played well in straight setting decidedly tougher opponents (Basilashvili and Bublik) on indoor HC. Sousa is a joke and Simon is fading quickly. Monfils now faces Evans, who will be no easy out. Krajinovic doesn’t have the pop needed to stay with Rublev’s top gear.

We’ll probably see a Rublev vs Monfils SF and it will be much closer than the Doha’18 final, one of Monfils titles (2&3). The Russian has found his game this past year.

The Tournament is on Monfils racquet to win, he clearly outclasses the field thats left.

Cheers

Sinner breaks PCB in his 4th service game of the 2nd set. Serves out set for 6-3. All tied set apiece in Rotterdam.

I got drool on my keyboard at one point this match thinking of a Sinner/Felix match but doesn't look like that will happen. Still not over yet.

The court looks pretty slow given the pace they are hitting it.

Monfils Simon last night was played in slow motion.
