Only two players still alive of the players in the "who gets the title?" poll. Those two being Monfils and "other player". I'm thinking "other player" wins this now, but not just any "other player", you guys know who I'm hoping that other player will be, don't you?

The semi finals are set

Monfils v Krajinovic

PCB v FAA

Monfils is still the favorite, hopefully FAA can beat PCB in get into the finals.

Cheers

Felix seems to have the game required to become a great player, looks completely solid on both wings which I feel is crucial part in becoming a top 5 player.

I don't watch much of Monfils but it sure is frustrating to watch him play!
He prefers to play as a backboard and let the other player make errors, when he has so many chances to dictate play.

Can't root for him. Can't really root against him either. Such is the life of anyone in viewing distance of Gael Monfils.

Monfils one match away from winning two titles in a year for the first time. I hope he does it. #AnyoneButATeenager! (Well, #AnyoneButATeenagerUnlessAgainstTheNadal!)

I can't take him seriously. He's a heck of a showman, but as a serious tennis player, he's, well...Monfils.
For all the supposed clowning hes never been a diva like most players out there

I think he actually has the right amount of showmanship most of the times but sadly his tennis talent is just overrated

Can FAA even win a set tomorrow? ;) I'm thinking Gael defends his title tomorrow regardless, here I thought he would never get to double digits in titles a few years back... He may win 5 of his last 7 finals lol... All started when Ivo failed to serve out the match at Washington 2016.

Is it particular liking of FAA or general preference for younger players? In my case, I have nothing against FAA and would be happy for him to become a top player one day, but I always cheer for older players not named Nadal against teenagers these days.

FAA is a countryman. I certainly root for all Canadians as most people do for their own countryman, but I do root for others too. Monfils is a great player and I will not be too sad if he wins. I hope for a good battle and wish your man luck.

There seems to be a new-look seriousness about Gael these days. He's cut back on the clowning and showmanship and focussing on the task at hand much more. Maybe he's finally realised that he should knuckle down and make more of his opportunities before it's too late?

I have that much more with team sports than with individual ones. Like I root against Max Verstappen almost every F1 race lol
