What if Osaka pulled her hamstring in the semi final and azarenka gets a walk over in the final?

One, I'm loving the final because there's two players who prove the WTA is strong, no matter the ages of the players.
Two, I'm loving it because there's gang of Talk Tennis Warehouse members who hate Osaka because she's not their "little, demure Japanese girl" anymore and is now speaking up about her black identity and Black Lives Matter, and to this group, that's the worst thing on the face of the earth, as they have said about Osaka and the movement on this board. Go Osaka.
Three, I'm loving it because Vika has been relentlessly attacked on this board for years--for her on-court noise (no rational mind cared), to her dancing (...and?), her not being fond of Sharapova (oh, the horror! the crime!) and especially due to her former relationship (his race, and there's no way to deny the that and the posts made at the time), and she has made a stellar comeback when certain people were happy to write her off.
The WTA is the face of great tennis.
Didn't realise the board hated Azarenka that much but must have missed it because I wasn't here in 2012-13.
WTA gonna WTA. ya love to see it
I'm not an Azarenka fan but it is nice to hear that she is happy playing the game again. That becomes lost at times.Yes, there was much hate for Azarenka--they accused her of cheating (unproven, of course), her on-court noise (which no other players ever bothered to mention), her not getting along with Sharapova (next to no other players ever liked Sharapova, so why target Vika is something rattling around in their minds), dancing and her choice in a boyfriend. there was no end to the hate. She's on the rise again, and that's wonderful for the entire sport.
According to her, she didn't used to enjoy tennis. Only recently has she come to appreciate the game and her time on court. I'm happy for herI'm not an Azarenka fan but it is nice to hear that she is happy playing the game again. That becomes lost at times.
Bibi has some serious game, but it's pretty worrying how injury prone she is at such a young age. I don't see her having a long/consistent career as a resultIt's really a shame Andreescu can't defend her title!![]()
That would be very groundhog day.
Do we have any updates for Rome yet? It starts next week and I'm imagining Vika/Naomi are unlikely to play due to playing Fs here.
Any news as to whether Serena will play? I know she's a ? for RG as she's cautious about the crowd numbers, but what about Rome?
We'll have Giorgi vs Yastremska though. Battle of babes!Azarenka hasn't withdraw yet but she will of course although we could've get Venus vs Vika on 1R!
But definitely she will withdraw, to play against Venus in the 1st round and potentially play Kenin in the 2nd is a bit too much after 3 weeks of great tennis.Azarenka hasn't withdraw yet but she will of course although we could've get Venus vs Vika on 1R!
