In the real universe Daniil Medvedev is still a clear level above his childhood friend. Mentally sturdier, more consistent in his game, and just some more strings to play on over the course of a match.

Fun match despite the 3–0 scoreline, especially the first set. After that you kinda felt this would only end one way, though.

Really looking forward to the anticipated Medvedev–De Minaur match now.

Med bringing the value of flat hitting back IMO.

Do think he was quite poor for some stretches, but both weren't quit there on return today. Sadly Rublev to me seems the most technically talented ball bashing young padawn but is the physically least gifted by quite a margin. Don't know where he goes from here. I don't think he can have the power to be really unplayable, though he did have stretches and points where he just didn't execute today.
