So far, they have played only one match against each other, in Miami 2018 Sascha won in 2 sets.
For both of them, this is the second participation in the semifinals of the Grand Slam tournament in their careers and they will strive for their first Grand Slam final.
Sascha is the favorite and I expect him to win.

Sascha is the better player when he’s at his best, but is prone to melt-downs under pressure. Pablo is solid and steady. He was a little tight in his last match but generally played through it. So I think it really comes down to Zverev’s ability to manage his emotions.
Exactly this.

And given Zverev's history in majors, this one could be more interesting than people think. If PCB can get a lot of balls back early and Zverev gets negative and "loses the plot", PCB could win this.

Zverev looked REALLY nervous against Coric. Lucky for him, Coric was really nervous too. If Zverev plays the same way against PCB, this could be one very ugly match for Sascha.

If Zverev serves well, he will beat Busta easily. However, Zverev has been double-faulting like a maniac lately. He was 10+ double faults in 3 of his last 4 matches.

Can’t go down 1-6 2-4 and expect another escape, Zedraffe. Busta is now 2-0 at USO vs Shapo and took 5 of his 6 winning sets in TBs so he will play the extra frames better than Ćorić.

As much as I dislike him, Zedraffe in 4. I have a feeling the final will be the two 6’6” towers. Incoming NextGen slam champion...finally.

During the Coric match, by the third set he was hitting 130 MPH second serves and stopped DF'ing.

Zverev could easily choke this. He was already showing major nerves early against Coric.

Wouldn't surprise me if PCB took this actually. He's no slouch and can hold up well in a tight situation.

Here's my take--Shapo would have beat Zverev if he got through PCB. Zverev can 'play up' to the level of the Big 3 but can go flat against a more talented guy his own age or a steady journeyman.

PCB and RBA are the nightmare Kryptonite for young talented guys who are still looking to take that next step. I don't think there is any way Zverev wins this. PCB will just rip that 2nd serve apart.

Well Zed did beat PCB a couple years ago in straight sets in Miami, but grand slam play has been a different animal for Sasha. We'll see if maybe he's turned a corner and can put together a great match to reach his first ever major final. One thing is for sure though, PCB will make him work for every point, so if Zverev comes though, he will certainly have earned the victory.

Zverev will take this in 3. He will tough to beat when he confidently throws two 1st serves.

I think Busta wins an entertaining but messy five setter.
I don't think Sascha is quite ready to put in a semi final win at a slam. Still some lessons to be learned for him.

I want PCB to win this match but not the final although I admit it would be a bit hilarious if he trolled NextGen by winning and setting the youngest current grand slam winner at 29 years old which is still pretty damn old LOL

And Zverev kind of meh at Miami despite making final.

Peak PCB on display at this US Open. based on current level I would favor PCB but as you know matchups are tough to overcome and Zverev in theory should be more capable over two years later and PCB not that much improved based on their age.
