He’ll almost certainly be always more athletically gifted. Alcaraz has rare speed and a unique balance and ability to produce power on the stretch.

However Sinner has the advantage of being 6’5” and having those pogo stick arms as levers for his serve. He could develop a legitimately dominant Medvedev/Zverev level first serve if he achieves his potential there. Alcaraz will never have that luxury.

Yes, I should probably rephrase a bit.

I presume that Alcaraz will (likely) always have certain physical advantages, but what I do not know is whether the gap will remain as it is, or if Jannik will bridge it slightly by being a later physical bloomer. People's degree of physical maturation can be difficult to assess around their age.

The better player won today, surprising how much better Carlos was during the longer rallies. Seems that Janni had not the greatest feeling on the ball today...

I wonder if Tennis Channel will replay the whole entire match later tonight? I wish they would. This was an historic match imo.

Really glad we have Sinner and Alcaraz coming up through the ranks. I don't know that I could stand a decade of just Tsitsipas and Zverev (Med's ok, I guess).

It was a historic match. Frankly I had the impression that Sinner was not quite on point today. Little pressure from a hitter like him.

Rats looks fully in the zone while Sinner seems a bit deflated, understandably. A match like the Tiafoe one, after such a long run, can really clip your wings. Some players would take 6 months to get over a loss like that. Sinner's not one of them, but today he just doesn't look like he'll have enough.
Well, good to know my senses weren't too affected by the rona. The best version of Sinner can still probably take out Rat Boy. But clearly this wasn't it - loads of shanks and unforced errors, never consistent with the serve, never able to come up big in the biggest spots.

Of course, we're also far from seeing the best version of Rats...

Alcaraz seemed simply better all around to me. Sinner is a bit too safe during rallies, crosscourt and safe, not a lot of changing direction. I also think the forehand of Alcaraz is a bigger weapon than anything Sinner has.
Not just the forehand itself, but the way he steps into it. He has natural attacking instincts.

Jannik can bazooka his groundies from the baseline, but his attacking footwork is lacking.

Third top 10 win !
Perhaps a match vs Medvedev in the QF, then perhaps Zverev in the SF, Djoker in the final. Brutal draw with the three best players on HC at the moment but let's see how far he can go, exciting
unvaluable learning for him, i just hope that so many wins so early dont get into his head, i hope people around him and some loses keep him humble
