Their one-sided encounter in Paris out of nowhere with Zverev's game lately starting to break down under pressure again is not a coincidence. Yesterday against Berrettini, an uncalled for finger wag and getting irritated for seemingly no reason. It points to a lack of confidence. I suspect Sasha might be going through a crisis, feeling like he doesn't measure up to expectations and his potential. So even with the conditions here being different from Paris, it would be surprising if Zverev gets it together and wins.

And Zverev went the other way. When you compare his version from 2018 WTF and today's the conclusion is: Zverev regressed.

I think it'll be closer than the Paris match. Zverev was exhausted after Vienna + a 3h thriller against Dimitrov and he had a bad day. Plus missed many break points in the first games which could've changed the match completely if he'd converted one.

But at the same time he didn't convince me at all against Berrettini. Too much troubles to keep his serve, many UE, terrible ratio on break points. He says he is tired and it shows. Medvedev lost a set but it was still a good match from him.

Medvedev 6-4 7-5 or a similar score.

Medvedev has won 5 of the last 6 including the last 4 meetings. Medvedev wasn't a great player yet when he lost those first 4 matches. While Zverev could certainly win the conditions favor Medvedev. I think he will win in 2 straight sets (DM).

Zverev might have one of the best technique, on certain days good (first) serves and so on... but he is one of the worst decision makers in the Top 20. Why he shot this ball in the right corner to med, instead of the left court .. all was empty.. insanely bad

I joined the match late so I don't know if he was outplaying Z earlier, but since I joined it has been pretty close.
