Fokina loves that underhand serve lol

he tried it vs. Seyboth Wild in the Rio Open awhile back and it literally almost started a riot.

His shot selection in this game has been so stupid at times and Basilashvili is letting him get away with it. That was a terrible drop shot attempt on break point

Literally hit the ball right back to Niko, and he can't get it into the court...

Now he lets that ball go?! Decision making by both in this game has been so questionable. Sheesh

Fokina had 2 mishits stay in the court and then gets bailed out with another dropshot. I'm starting to get pretty tilted.

lol

Game was there for the taking. Now Niko needs to serve to stay in the match after wasting all those chances + energy.

Man I'm really sweating this one...Niko keeps going back to Fokina on some of these approaches and it's gotten him into trouble.

We got the 4-2 lead with a mini break though. Hold the next one and a lot of pressure back on Fokina. Let's go!

Time to replay Hurkacz : Puille. Hope it was a good match.
Just watching it now, and there’s a strange situation in the 7th game in the first set, where the ump tells Hurkacz it’s too late to challenge, twice, then after a while changes her mind and lets him challenge. Not sure of her reasoning there and Pouille is understandably upset as this was at 40-30 for Hubert.

Well had to lookup the result as this is so one directional that there is no doubt who won. Looking forward to the Hurkacz vs Murray tonight. That should be an interesting match.

Sorry if I spolied it for you with my last post.

Not at all. Looked up the score earlier today, but I just wanted to see how tight the match was. When Hubert is serving big, he’s a tough nut to crack on hc with his solid allcourt game and huge span.

Yes, he can definitely beat anyone. He just needs to be consistent and sky is the limit.

this is Rune's coming out party,,, he will play Murray in the final. He will slay the greatest player/ knight, england has ever known and claim he has slayed the knight and he is the Barbarian king.

The kid truly is to watch out for as he's had a great junior career and as he's showing something in the big league now. Having said that, however, I do not see him ready to cope with Hurkacz, Monfils or even Andy who's recalling his past now.

Erm @Nostradamus, THE Sir Andy Baron Murray is "SCOTCH".

To call a SCOTCHES person English, is a bit like calling a Canadian person American!!!
Or a Portuguese person Spanish! Or a French person,.... erm, human!....
It's just wrong !

You might have a pretty face Nostradamus, but it's not a pretty as mine - OK !
SHEESH !

Oh, and England has a capital "E", as befits the greatest country on earth ! Ask @Mainad !

Gojo and Giron are in a spirited fight to the finish in the third set of their match. Go Gojo!!! (:

Gojo is the first into the semis with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 win over Giron. Giron double faulted on a match point for Gojo. Go Gojo!

I haven't really seen him play yet but I am disturbed by some homophobic comments he has made ): Obviously I am more excited by Carlos Alcaraz and want him to be the breakout star of the young guns in tennis.

High quality affair so far.

Hurkacz is actually quite good at the net. Maybe not for 90s standards but his volleying is varied and consistent.

Does Hurkacz have any variety in the pace he puts on his groundstrokes? Seems like he's sitting the same ball all the time. Normally I wouldn't get too fussed about variety but he just doesn't do enough with the ball off the ground.
