is this the end ? is this the swan song year for rafa ?
Could be, but that has been said many times over the years, yet he's still there. I doubt a sudden decline will happen. The guy won the last 4 RG losing 3 sets in total. I'd say he needs more matches since the pandemic has made him a bit rusty. Even if he struggles to win, he'll still be making deep runs for a couple of years at least, I believe.

I have no idea why you guys think Nadal will play Nishikori. I highly doubt it that he could beat Garin.

Not as close as the scoreline suggests, Nadal won 87-74.
It was an entertaining match, and one of the most aggressive performances I've ever seen from a Nadal opponent on clay.
Great tennis from both, and the happiest I've ever seen Nadal after a non-final victory.
You can see Nadal has already hit enough balls to win Roland Garros, he found his game by the end.

Yes he attacked him, that's what he did. I mean are we serious??? Y'all need to get your heads out of your a***
Attacked was probably a bit over dramatic lol. But what Nadal said to Djokovic told us a lot of where he sees himself in relation to Djokovic.

At this rate, even RG is no longer looking guaranteed.
This is the worst I've seen Nadal since 2015.

I think the AO loss might have taken a lot out of him mentally. He was dominating the match and got tired. Maybe he realizes he cannot count on his physicality anymore.
People are saying that his performances in minor clay tournaments have no bearing on RG. I think if he plays 3 or 4 minor clay tournaments and loses early in all of them, that's a really bad sign. He needs to run deep and play well in 1 of them at least.

It's not funny man. Stop twisting things around to fit your djoko-loving agenda... Djokovic fans SUCK!!

Last year I think he only played on clay though while everyone else was playing hard court. Then RG was in the middle of HC season.

Once Nadal begins to decline again (could be happening), there will be no way to offset it. He turned it around the first time by simply hitting his backhand more and not covering so much of the court to hit his forehand.
