Evans succumbed to the pressure and gets broken a second time for the set. Goffin has been tenacious and is rewarded, 7-5.

I worry about Goffin. Djokovic losing to Evans I get. Guy is motivated for slams only. But Goffin? With the draw opening up like this? Sure Evans is playing well and is an unusual player but Goffin with all his clay court skills could not come up with a more effective plan?

Going three after Evo gets the second set on another service break, 6-3.

Brummie bulldog proving he wants more than the Joe Kovic upset.

In attrition mode now after the 2-hour mark is reached. Goffin should enjoy the advantage there, having played 1R (Cilic) and going three all the way back on Sunday. Evans’ lone 3-setter was also 1R (Lajovic) but on Tuesday.

I like Evans' intent. I just don't want him to win as I think he'll wilt in the SF. Mind you, Goffin is not a cert for a competitive match.

Lol at Goffin missing that shot. The one thing he can offer here is baseline consistency to glean errors from Evans from the back of the court. But he's not even able to do that.

Evans keeps defying logic with this steely Dan role, going for a fourth win in as many days when he had never won more than two clay matches at ATP level. Those legs have to be burning!

Sure, Goffin stuffed a lot of break points, but he was supposed to be a break behind anyway so I think justice was served.

Fantastic win for Evo!

Who does everyone fancy out of Ruud or Fognini?

hard one to call. My first thought was Fognini but he lost both their matches so far.

@Red Rick vs. @Sysyphus out there right now
"The pair met twice last year in the ATP Cup, and Hamburg (C) and Casper Ruud won both of those matches in straight sets, 6-2 6-2 and 6-3 6-3, respectively. Regardless Fabio Fognini is far superior in every aspect of the game, and his performance and motivation levels will decide the outcome of this contest."

Can't decie if I'm interested yet.
