Most of the locals are hybrids of plastic and cardboard anyway, so nomuch difference between the fake and the real fans there anyway.

Italians are stallions in qualifying with Caruso, Travaglia and Cecchinato all advancing. That brings them up to 8 main draw competitors in the 56-draw or one in seven from Monaco’s eastern neighbor.

EDIT: it could be 9 if Fabbiano defeats Sousa in the last qualifying match just getting underway.

The pear having his bags packed by Thompson on Clay. Though I think Le paire just went up a break in set 2.

It's hard to be a drama queen when you play Paire, but Thompson beats Paire in this department. Every point he loses is a drama. And his exchanges with his coach are annoying.

I heard that the ATP Tour top 50 can play “free” at most tennis clubs worldwide! Does anyone know that is true?

Another 1R match today that could be of late-round quality will be Karatsev vs Musetti. It’s time to see if The Lion roars again with his tamer Korda delaying his clay season until Barca qualies. The Moose knows and does M1K very well for a teen. I like this test for both guys.

The Moose is on the board by saving 3 BPs to avoid a 0-3 double break hole vs The Russian Lion. Karatsev to serve 2-1.

Forever and a day to continue the Lion vs Moose struggle to a 4-3 Lion lead and now the rain is causing it to drag on even more.
