I'm hoping for a good draw. Tournaments really took a hit through covid and this is one of the biggest ones in the area.

I'll be there for MXD and men's dubs; won't be around for the singles event. Bummed they pushed it back so far into the month.

I didn't see that part. There are already 21 players registered. I don't know if they will take the first 16 to sign up or if they will try to do seeding.

I figured if I make it to the second round I'll get my money's worth in court time.

If I wasn't suffering from a foot injury, I'd enter the doubles. Then again, I'd have to find a new partner as my usual partners have all been bumped to 5.0 or are also suffering from injury...

@downs_chris ...what do you think? Maybe they'll let us play in wheelchairs...

I have another friend also wanting to sign up for 4.0 Mens Singles. He told me he’s going to talk to Coach Jordan.

Looks like there's a small showing for doubles so far. Maybe because it's the day after Christmas.

Yeah, at some year in time they stopped putting the doubles and singles on two back to back weekends and made them both run during the week. Not a bad idea necessarily, but some people don’t want to sit around work all day nervously wondering if they’ll beat the traffic to get around the beltway to College Park. Also it’s hard to play at night, I never know how to eat properly.

Talking to them, matches are 5-10pm.

Isn’t that how it always goes?

It’s sad that the biggest cheating usually occurs at the lowest levels. Makes it so much less fun for beginners who we need to keep playing.

Congrats to @BallBag for sweeping the 4.0 men's events! Some tough battles in dubs, but ran through the singles field relatively easily.

My partner and I defended our 4.0 MXD title; we always seem to play well at this venue.
