My dream draw:

Thiem Medvedev Zverev in bottom half.

Thiem to face borettini and yawnfils in QF/SF (with Zverev losing in 2nd round)

Nadal Djokovic Tsitsipas Rublev in top draw

With Nadal playing 2 straight 4+ hour match in QF and SF

F:Thiem vs Nadal

Winner: Nadal but in 5 sets( the guy can't even let a man dream)

Bernie Tomic in action today.. going strong. how far can he go ?? possibly cause some upsets ?? he could be a darkhorse.

Also Gulbis in action today too. he will definitley cause some upsets.

Why does Fabbiano have to qualify ? has he sunk this low ?

Kokkinakis vs McDonald first round seems such a shame.
Could really see them both qualifying if they were at different places in the draw...

Double Mac is the seed but Thanasi is hot, winning the Biella Challenger on dirt last week,

The Kokk is the betting favorite, 1.67/2.13. He is 12-4 on Euro clay at Challengers in Croatia and Italy in the past 45 days.

Mackie started in ATP250 Munich in qualies, won three matches with an upset 1R vs Lajovic. He then dropped down to Challengers with 4-2 results (one SF) before failing to qualify at ATP250 Geneva last week.

Bad day for two blasts from the past as Rosol gets bageled in a third set and Klizan wins 3 games total.

#4 seed Pedro Sousa had to retire in a third set.

Troicki has rebounded from a bagel served by TS Wild to force a 3rd set by winning a 8-6 TB.

American Bjorn looked solid (2&3) vs Go Soeda.

My RG thinking goes Nadal, Nadal and er Nadal. The only thing that will change my mind is if Tsitsipas or Zverev start making statement wins from the first rounds.

At least update the court photo with the new court, after all the work they put into it. :)
No or close to no spectators at last year’s edition, plus the Fall conditions make it look unappealing. I like the old sunny spirit of court Chatrier. ;)

*sigh*

Do I really have to do everything? :D They played on it 2019 also.

No roof though. I like how the fact that PC didn’t have a roof for so long was somehow a conspiracy to help Nadal, yet he played 2 of his best matches last year under the roof.

Yeah, no roof, but it is still closer to the actual court that there is now. And on a sunny day, this is what it will essentially be, with the roof pushed to the edges.

The roof does need to stay either way though, because we want the matches to all happen on time and everyone to get equal amount of rest, instead of playing several days in a row.

Bernie Tomic killing it.... He looks great so far on his comeback at the French open. Can he build this up to possible Wimbledon title ?

Troll much? Tomic is barely staying up with a 16-year-old French kid who is outside the top 1000. 1st set TB after failing to serve it out.

Your hype is just that...pure hype.

This guy Tomic’s playing ain’t terrible for someone outside the top1000.
He’s 16 and already feeling at home, beating Tomic and ready to face another Aussie. Neither Polmans (3-6 on clay), who leads by a set or Bolt (0-6 on clay) are much better than Bernie on dirt. Zapata Miralles is easily the solid favorite from that section.

Gulbis must have asked for the night match because he’s against vampires and has brought a silver stake so he can stalk and kill one before he plays Elahi Galan.

Another veteran bites the dust as Tommy (Can You Hear Me) Robredo loses in straight sets to Quentin Halys. Gotta admire Tommy’s perseverance through all the losing. He is well below .500 at all levels since 2014 when he may have jinxed himself here:

Do NOT mess with The Muzziah!
