Med will lose before reaching Tsits.

Thiem-Zverev could be very entertaining, if Thiem makes it that far and gets his sh*t together.

ROFL. As expected, Djokovic has the easiest draw. Why am I not surprised? Because he always gets the easiest draw at the Djokovic Open.

Djokovic-Federer QF
Even though Roger is clearly nowhere near fit, if we somehow got this again, 10 years later, it would be as close to tennis perfection as we've seen.

I was just planning out Zverev's potential route. He has a pretty nasty draw. Nishikori/RBA/KK all potential early rounds, then Thiem, Then Tsisipas then Nadal/Djokovic? Oof...

Guys, I'm a usually quick to pounce on easy Rafa draws, but that looks like a rough road to me this year. First two rounds are not that easy, Karate Kid in the third round, Sinner 4th, Rublev quarter, Novak semi. Ouch. I also think the quarter with Zverev, Thiem, KK, RBA, Ruud, Hurkacz, and Evans is really hard.

My god, it took a while to get around to him but i just planned out Djokovic's potential route and wow... i can see why people would be salty. That is basically the easiest draw possible, like ignoring the potential Nadal SF (Which many will argue is better than against him in the final) the title is almost his to lose. also yes i know Nadal is clearly the big factor but the rest of his draw is a cakewalk.

His draw is easier than last year

We finally tie the H2H wth Djokovic 29-29.
Nothing can stop Djokovic from facing the music now :)

So correct me if I'm wrong, but Sinner, in a hypothetical fourth round, could have crossed paths with any of the top 8 seeds. He is set to cross paths with the rodent.

This kid needs to go to Lourdes, not Paris.

Here are all of the projected paths for the top contenders (and the Fraudulent One):

Nadal:

1R: Popyrin
2R: Gaston / Gasquet
3R: Sonego
4R: Sinner
QF: Rublev / Karatsev
SF: Djokovic
F: Tsitsipas/Zverev/Thiem (bottom half really is open)

- not a bad draw! I expect him to coast through to the SF in ease but overall, it's decent stuff for him. Djokovic should be the toughest test but Nadal should still win there.

Djokovic:

1R: Sandgren
2R: Pouille / Cuevas
3R: Humbert
4R: Goffin / Musetti
QF: Federer
SF: Nadal
F: Tsitsipas/Zverev/Thiem

- utter cakewalk to the semis; unless Djokovic is in truly terrible form, he should make it to Nadal quite easily. And then I think he bows out in the SF. I don't really expect any less from him.

Tsitsipas:

1R: Chardy
2R: Korda
3R: Isner / Krajinovic
4R: Carreno Busta
QF: Any player between Medvedev, Dimitrov, Garin, or Opelka lol
SF: Zverev / Thiem
F: Nadal

Tsitsipas has probably the easiest draw of the top seeds. Any loss before the SF here should be considered a poor result for him. And I think he is the favorite to reach the final out of the very open bottom half of the draw. It's between him and Zverev, at any rate.

Zverev:

1R: Qualifier
2R: Qualifier (lol)
3R: Evans
4R: RBA / Khachanov
QF: Thiem / Ruud
SF: Tsitsipas
F: Nadal

- Zed has a pretty easy first couple of rounds so any ABZ cult members looking forward to an epic early-round upset might be disappointed here. Honestly, as much as I hate to admit it, he's in a very good position to secure a second Slam final. There's only Tsitsipas and maybe Thiem in his way.

Thiem (@ForehandCross you wanted this?)

1R: Andujar
2R: Delbonis / Albot
3R: Fognini / Fucsovics
4R: Hurkacz / Ruud
QF: Zverev
SF: Tsitsipas
F: Nadal

- Thiem has a pretty tough draw with that 4R to F combo of Ruud, Zverev, Tsitsipas, and Nadal (or Djokovic if you're StrongRule). He should do okay with the 1R to 4R, though there's a potential upset in the Ruud match. However, I think Zverev ends his run.

Federer:

1R: Qualifier
2R: Cilic
3R: Fritz
4R: FAA / Berrettini
QF: Djokovic
SF: Nadal
F: Tsitsipas/Zverev/Thiem

- Fraud has the toughest draw of all the top eight seeds I think. I'm not expecting much from him given this draw; making it to the QF would be a dream run but I think his tournament ends at R4 with FAA or Berrettini (shudders). We'll just see what happens.

Medvedev (for the LOLs):

1R: Bublik
2R: Paul
3R: Opelka
4R: Dimitrov / Garin
QF: Tsitsipas
SF: Zverev / Thiem
F: Nadal

- Med's main role in this draw, it seems, is to cause chaos in the bottom half. This is the most open the bottom half of the draw has been in a long time, I'm pretty sure. There are some interesting projected QFs for sure. However, Med himself? He's not getting very deep here lol, despite having a fairly soft draw. I predict possibly a second round loss to Paul (Paul can play on clay; I remember him having a decent match vs. Thiem two years ago here).

Honestly, the nature of this draw makes this tournament more interesting than usual. You have the old guard in the top half and the next gen (mostly) in the bottom half. Is it a little rigged? Yeah, probably lol. But it should still be a fun watch even if Nadal is the comfortable favorite here. I just hope the bottom half doesn't immediately lose all of its top seeds and descend into muggery, though it seems destined now.

I'm glad Rafa is not seeded 2 because I don't fancy Medvedev's quarter one bit. In fact, I'm happy that Rafa is in the top half.

I wouldn’t call joker’s draw a cakewalk.

Popyrin and Gaston/washed-up Gasquet are total walking bye.

Even 2015dal would win in three sets.

Plot twist: Fed is taken out by Sinner-slayer Rinderknech in round 2.
