Wow. Another straight set victory from Diego and he’ll be fresh for Nadal/Sinner. Will be a pain in the ass now that he’s fresh. Certainly ups his chances after the lackluster clay season.
Diego was 4/0 up in the third, was tied 4/4 and was almost broken, which could have led to Struff serving for the set.
Struff played very well during that stretch.
Diego had to work extra to straighten that.

Has some1 of Nadal fans data of the set percentage of Nadals RG wins? How much of his 106 wins here he won in 3/4/5 sets?
My guess is 3sets > 80%

Hey, This Leo Borg looks like a real deal. 1 set all with #1 seed in the boys draw. and he has some real weapons. Big time forehand and big serves to go with it. Nothing like his father Bjorn Borg who has very loopy topspin forehand. Big forehand leo has sold of like James Blake forehand.

Watching Borg today,, noticed that he hits the ball very flat especially off backhand side. Ironic but if he can add more topspin and cut down on errors and improve his movement, he could be a top ATP player. Looks like very talented player already with big time forehand and good serves for a junior.

I like Tsitsipas’ game but I don’t think there’s any chance a one handed backhand is going to be able to hold up in best of 5 on Chatrier. Nadal will constantly spin the ball high to that wing until a shank or short ball is coughed up. A one hander against Nadal on clay is such a liability. Wawrinka, Federer and Thiem all have great one handers and they were all abused on that court.

I see the Onehander also in a disadvantage especially on this court and conditions. However Tsitsipas uses his OHBH not really as an attacking shot (or very rarely) but more as a high topspin defending shot, so I think he could find a way to get around the massive topspin shots of Nadal... in theory...

I know this is the singles thread, but the doubles between Mahut/Herber and Cabal/Farah is pretty hype right now. French team getting lifted by the crowd after being down a few match points in the second. Up a break in the deciding third set now.

I guess there’s a reason no match thread for Zverev and Tsitsipas? I don’t really care so I’m not going to make one but just thought it was interesting.

Just found out from Official channels Why RAFA lost in french open. He had a Bad foot injury and he didn't want to take away from novak's victory so he didn't say anything. What a great sportsmanship
