Legend
H2H 4-1 in favor of Zverev. The pair have met twice this year, all during the clay season with the German winning both. Their latest encounter was a slugfest in Rome which lasted 3 hours. Who wins?

Zedraffe has rebounded from that rocky 1R start going down two sets to win his last 9 sets. The conditions suit his game so I look for him to dominate Kei once more for a 3-0 sweep of Madrid, Rome and RG. Zed in 4.

I Just hope Zverev wins in straights without much errorfest, unlike rome this year. He's the player I want in final against nadal.

If you want be contender for grand slam these are the matches you need to send a message by winning convincingly but I expect Zverev to mess this up and make it a close affair although in the end he should prevail

If Zverev bumbles his way to five sets. Its done Nishikori has got this, he has to win in straights or at worst in four.

Actually this s can be match of day, kei is well rested and Zverev has been tested and he also finished early .
So both are ready, Zverev will start favourite but I see Kei taking it, if he played like the fifth set Kei against Karen .
Who ever wins do it in 4 instead of tiring out other.

Lost Gen King Injurkori to decimate next gen BUM zverev. Prime 2014-2016 Nishikori destroys any version of Zverev.

Zverev looks great so far
Zverev has some serious firepower.
If Kei can keep injury free this could potentially be a dog fight.

NextGen are not living up to the mug label today. But of course no one on TTW is going to suffer consequences for hating on them because people don’t really watch non-Big 3 matches

I mean they deserve some praise for being consistent in these slams but when they see nadal or Djokovic they **** their shorts. You would like to see that breakthrough.

I gotta admit he has been consistent in the slams. He’s getting that consistency unfortunately it won’t matter in the end if he runs into novak or nadal.
I think Zverev will trouble Nadal/Novak more than Tsitsipas if he is firing on all cylinders but mentally I think Tsitsipas has edged Zverev in oast few months which is needed vs Djokovic-Nadal most

Zverev started like a GOAT.
Nishilori if he can break here will win.

Zverev and Medvedev if they make final and Nadal/Sinner and Djokovic had a cripplimg war will win.
Tsitsipas in his 1st final probably chokes although i fancy him to beat Djokovic as Rome will have helped even if he lost.

Zverev if he can sort these serve issues and mental lapses, then his game is there to beat the best although I personally don't like his game but it is effective if it's firing. His return of serve I feel us best in next gen also quite good from the baseline

I think djokovic in final won't find it easy with either Zverev/Tsitsipas but Tsitsipas single handed backhand might be exploited in the final a lot and may breakdown but with Zverev match could be on his racquet if he is serving well and dictating play like he does when firing on full cylinders

Of course and the likes of Tsonga/Berdych/Del Potro were able to make those breakthroughs at their age so I get the criticism. It’s just a bit unfair is all, because the likes of Tsits/Zverev/Medvedev are still clearly the 3rd-5th best players in the world right now.

Each of them has now equaled Hewitt, Safin, and Nalbandian’s best finishes at the FO, guys who are talked about as legends who dwarf the NextGen. It’s reductive to call guys who aren’t fully able to handle the pressure of beating a 18/20 time GS winner playing their most experienced and intelligent tennis a mug. These guys are all still developing players, but are written off as nothing athletes and people too easily.
