Hmm this is a really tough one.

Prior to this year, I would say I want Zverev in the Final as he possess 3 Master Titles vs 1 for Tsitsipas.

However, Tsitsipas's Clay Level this year has really impressed me.

I still feel like Zverev will be a tougher challenge regardless if he beats Tsitsipas and then faces probably Nadal or Djokovic in the Final.

I pick Zverev in 4 by my Heart wants Tsitsipas to win in 3 or 4.

A rebus for that occasion ;)

Zverev to prove just how big a big match player he really is and get a 4 set win. Keeps talking about how he's made it big in the big leagues, so a big opportunity here to make a big impact on proceedings and reach another big Final.

That win over Medvedev launched Tsitsipas to #4 in the world for the first time, passing Dominic Thiem. Probably for the best that Thiem doesn't get a quarter at Wimbledon.

Edit: The winner of this match stays in the top 4 (Tsitsipas can technically get to #3, but unlikely). If Zverev beats Tsitsipas here, he leapfrogs both Thiem and Tsitsipas for #4 in the world. Lot on the line with Wimbledon approaching.

Three days of rest now!
Both players will be so fresh.

If the Zverev who played a terrible first set today shows up on Friday then it will be an easy win for Tsistipas, but I think the match we had hoped for today between Medvedev and Tsitsipas is going to happen on Friday between Zverev and Tsistipas. I am predicting Zverev in 5 hard fought sets.

Tsitsipas in five. Nadal will prefer to play him in the finalinstead of Zverev and so, the fates will decree that it will happen. Maybe we will see some of Zverev’s patented serve hijinks in the fifth set.

Hoping for 3 set zverev win because I don't like how much love Tsitsipas is getting and Zverev is just as good if not better when both play their best.

But would take 4 or 5 set win as well.

God let Zverev win

Am I understanding correctly that the Tsitsipas-Zverev semi-final is going to be on Thursday and the other semi is going to be on Friday? This is really unfair if it is true!

If only we could give Stef Zverev’s backhand to battle Nadal. His backhand is the only thing holding him back from challenging Nadal.

Or alternatively we can give Stefanos the power of Dominic Thiem off both wings, its ridiculous how a 6'4" 23yo player doesn't hit as powerful as 34 & 35yo declined veterans.

Both should be well rested and both have played slam SFs so this is not virgin territory (first RG SF for Zed). There should be no excuses. This is for all the NextGen marbles. ‘Nuff said!

Zedraffe in 4...bigger serve and a more reliable service return. He played his best this clay season on the faster Madrid surface and conditions and beat Nishikori, Evans, Nadal, Thiem and Berrettini convincingly with just the loss of an opening set TB to Berry in the final. Tsits’ loss there to Ruud showed a power game can expose his limitations. His lone set dropped here was to big serving Isner. His return will break down if Zedraffe serves well.

As a fan I would prefer Citypass but I won’t allow my dislike of Zedraffe’s personality and behavior to blind me to the physics and logic. The weather should be warm and I would be shocked if RG and Forget make them an evening match.

Probably Tsits in 3 or 4 if he can sustain his high level of play like last night. The problem is he was able to do so partly because of his beef with Meddy; here his relationship with Zverev is much less intense.

zverev lost to goffin, the guy who got bagelled by musetti who got bagelled by djokovic. also madrid is not "real" clay

Thanks for sharing. Goffin actually started the clay season fairly well and then circled the drain once Evans beat him the next round.

Most rational people that analyze results don’t weight a match in mid-April very heavily when predicting a result in mid-June. But you go ahead and use your tea leaves reading if you care to. I’m going to rely on what I stated. Also, your “real” /“not real” litmus test is a bunch of hogwash. The two finalists at “not real” Madrid are still alive in the draw.

Have a nice evening!

I hope Tsitsipas is not emotionally drained. If the match is on Friday, I expect Stef to come through in 4. He is the better clay courter and should hopefully win in these conditions.
