I have noticed that first meetings for top players are often more difficult for them then matches with players they have played plenty of time before... they usually are still able to win them but they struggle more...

Was a little tricky in the end, but Med got it done. He needs to up his level though, because that is not going to cut it in the final, against Djokovic or Zverev.

Couldn't watch the match. Am a little surprised that Med lost the third set. What happened? Med making things difficult for him, vdZ playing inspired tennis for a set, a mixture of the two ... ?

We do "have" Esther Vergeer who's the GOAT of women's wheelchair tennis.

I read Okker was a top 10 player for seven years in his time. Though Krajicek was the only Dutch to win a major, beating peak Sampras on his way.
