Hahaha... yeah, the only option that has Sinner winning is the "Sinner in 3" option, so that is what I chose.

I got to watch Casper Ruud hit in person for the first time at Indian Wells a couple weeks back and he's got some beautiful strokes. I have Scandinavian roots, so I generally go for players from that region:

That said, Sinner is my guy and unless he has one of those surprisingly bad service days again, I think he's got to be favored in this upcoming match.

(Also, I watched Ruud's loss to Schwartzman in IW and Ruud was not 100% physically. He was strapped up in several places, including his elbow. I'm not sure if that is healed... and he had a long tough match against Sonego today.)

It depends most on the Sinner serve. If he does well there it will be very difficult for Ruud who made huge strides on HC. Compare his recent run to his overall record. Better in any way.

The Sinner was of course the better hard-court player with a far better return game on it but the Ruud serve was overall far better, arguably more so because it was more dependable. Recent form means a lot of course. On Clay Ruud would be the favorite after his excellent showings. Sinner played little and run often quickly into the best which harms his sample size and percentages.

If Ruud was still in his San Diago form, I'd go for him in straights. Such a strong run.

Probably Sinner today. Ruud looks a little off, physically, not going all in with the forehand. On the other hand, he has become a lot more consistent this year, and goes through a lot of games cruising.

Really hoping for Ruud to win this match. At least let it be a close match either way and not a blow-out!

Fairly balanced match but the guy with greater power and better serve. It seems to me that Casper choose risk it on the first. However his second works very well and his game plan too.

He does a lot very well but one can always improve.

Smart play on the longer rallies by Jan, he has more power and similar wheels so he should pressure patiently...

Why do I have the feeling we will get a Sinner-Alcaraz final? And then it will be repeated at the Next Gen ATP final too?

Changed his action.
Less, kneebend and serve than last year. Better pace and flatter 1st serve. Big edge
So much no in this post:

Stopped pinpoint motion with wider feet starting stance; switched to platform (fedr style) with more knee bend and compression below the waist for coil before launch and increased racquet head lag time during full load and release of the shoulder to MOI. This enables better RHS, the key to either flat or spin serves.

Shocking net game too, bad movement obviously. Look how the lad walks!

Stupits to change his servemotions. Arrogant to avoid the Olympics in his form slump.

He really leave Piatti and the rest of the fools...

Frankly I like the Norwegian, excellent work ethic and love his progression. Will have more success in years to come.

Great to see Jan improving as well and so quickly too.

Reported for plagiarism and a dead spot on impression of some other posters. :-D

To me sinner is a great player, a lot of precision and power off both wings with consistency also, great angles too, he is not about going to the net or mixing things up which is something i most enjoy about tennis, but its just a play style, when he cant find his A game he is a bit lost ( which is more or less something that qualifies as tennis iQ) but its completly normal at 20, i dont even care about the serve, its not bad and its the thing that will get better easier, now thats my real take, not that hes a mindless ball basher or that hes dumb, i hope that clarifies everything and that it is better put
