If Nadal did it, he would be sarcastically called “humbalito” on this forum among others for the rest of our natural lives, but when Djokovic does it, he’s expressing his confidence and will to win. That 1st set was shaky and he was shaky at times in the 2nd when he was up 2 breaks, but he pulled it together and got it done. He was edgy going for history today but glad he got the win. Onto to NY (I'm not that invested in Tokyo).

Congrats to Nole. The way he came back in sets 2 and 3 after blowing a lead in set 1 was mentally huge.

His lockdown in set 4 showed why he will wind up as the GOAT over Fed, Nadal, Sampras, Laver, etc.
