I think HH takes the match 3-2. I think HH has no pressure, he is very good on grass, and he won't be intimidated by Fed. Also, Fed is playing his fifth match and has had a very nice draw. HH will know what he needs to do and will be well prepared. I think Fed will get sets cos of the occasion, but ultimately, the younger player will win.

I don't think it necessarily has to be on either of them. But there won't be the pressure there would have been for Med. No one had HH down for the QF. Nothing for him to lose.

After Miami and the start of the clay season HH completely disappeared as he really is not good at all on this surface, but here he shows again he is no joke on faster surfaces. I can see him win this match honestly, he will come at the net and propose more variety than Med would have

I don't know who I will root for now, but it doesn't matter anyway now everything will go according to script.
Hurkacz won't beat Federer unless Federer mugs up which now I think won't happen, Novak will make Fucsovics rethink his career choices. And then there's literally no way Federer is losing in WB SF to mugs like Berretini and FAA.
The only match that intrigues me is Shapo-Djokovic. But knowing Shapo he will either go out in QF or mug up mentally in Semis.
The final is Federer Djokovic, and Djokovic is in good enough form to not let that final stretch to a classic like 2014,2019.

I expect HH to be way better than Sonego though, I was disappointed by the Italian yesterday, unable to defend on BH side, unable to attack, he played below his ranking IMO.
Fedovic both look impressive sure, but I am waiting to see them against a really, legit good opponent that would be a test for them

All the pressure is on him. It’s about the Slam record, and it’s about taking any chances for him if he wants to have an overall chance.
In the end it’s about who ends up with most Slams and not about the age difference in a (potentially) lost Wimbledon QF. People will say “nice effort”, but already after a very short time nobody will care about anything else but the numbers.

i've been worried about every federer match and so far he's pulled through. same here though--HH has weapons and young legs. serve/return huge for fed (i suppose they always are of course.)

This is a danger match and also will tell us where Federer is in terms of form. I would put Hurkacz as the slight favorite here, but it is definitely a winnable match for Fed. If he successfully gets past QF, that will confirm Fed is at 80-90% of his optimal form at this stage of his career, which will be good enough to be competitive against either Berrenttini or FAA. Fed needs to get into rhythm fast and early. He can't afford to take too much time to settle into his rhythm and let the match get away quickly. The key will be his serve and return.

I'm hoping his nerves hold up. He had a taste of Centre today and he seemed to like it. He endeared himself to the crowd, so I feel he will get respectful support . . . unless he starts winning, which will turn everyone against him. If he serves well and plays aggressively, he's got a decent shot at the upset.

Can't believe Med lost this Lol. Three best young gen players lost before QF at Wimbledon. (1R-4R-4R). Stars seem to have aligned with Fedovic final. Or may be #21 for Federer - who knows? But really with Med and Zverev getting eliminated draw has opened up nicely for Roger. Hope he takes full advantage of that. His QF - SF opponents are very beatable if he brings his best level.

funniest thing is to be focused only on odds, you should know this if you're a betting person in the first place, same odds were on zebrev vs felix and where's he now, even more heavy favs (-500) were rublev and medved in their 1/8 matches and where are they now etc.

The era of easy fedr steamrolling from the first game on is temporarily suspended. The Incredible Hurk has enough game and mentality to keep in touch with fedr but Maestro will roll by the end. fedr in 3, maybe a TB before finding gear and running away.
