This is the only tournament that Fed would rather die on the grass than withdraw from.I kind of expect feddy to withdraw but if he doesn't he gets taken like a hot crumpet.
I hope you're right!Fed in straights. This is Wimbledon and he's got through the initial hiccup.
I think people are giving Norrie too much respect yes he’s had a decent year but what has he realistically got in his game that will take 3 sets off Federer?
He is a solid player with no real weapons, he may get a set of Federer is a bit off, but expecting Federer to be off and missing for 3 sets seemed a bit far fetched
I don't think he needs any real weapons in order to beat Fed if he plays like R1. Norrie is higher ranked than Mannarino, has had better results this year, and has a winning h2h against Mannarino. So he's a better player than Adrian, who I also would say has no weapons that would hurt Fed in normal circumstances. Yet Roger almost lost to him.
People are worried because we don't know for sure which Fed will turn up. And likely that will remain the case throughout the rest of his career ...
It's also hard to know how well Roger was really playing in the last two sets yesterday, because Roger matches up so well against Richard. Still, if he brings that game I think he'll have too much for Cam.
Mannarino takes the ball much earlier, and that takes time away from Fed, whose lateral movement is currently quite dubious.I don't think he needs any real weapons in order to beat Fed if he plays like R1. First paragraph is spot on but good tennis competitively. If Fed plays like he did yesterday, I don’t see him having much trouble
He played Norrie at the Hopman cup and matched up against him well
Rankings wise yes but he has a much superior record at WimbledonNorrie is in much better form than Mannarino.
I hope you're right!I do take your point and I agree if Federer plays as poorly as in round 1 then Norrie has a shot but how much of that score line was about Manarino and how much was Federer being poor? The fact that Federer has since got through a round fairly comfortably to me suggests he will be playing better than round 1 and I just think he’s going to have too much game for Norrie. But it’s a great run for Norrie his best at Wimbledon so he should be happy
SharpererJust watched Federer practicing on outside court
Looking sharp
I expect Norrie to win. Way better form and Fed is just not playing right.
