Swiatek vs Hsieh is on ESPN3.Why is ESPN showing Collins vs. Hercog when it should be showing Swiatek vs. Hsieh on Court 1! And ESPN Plus is showing 15 courts but not Court 1. Argh!
I don’t think it’s her last chance but very close to thatBarty def Kontaveit
Serena def Muchova
Stephens (LOL) def Keys
Muguruza def Rybakina
Would be fun after crazy SF RG we got all Slam champs SF
Serena def Barty
Muguruza def Stephens
Serena def Muguruza
This is the very last chance for Serena to win a slam.
Don’t disrespect the queen of Wimbledon Petra Kvitova
WOW<,, just WIOWO .. Sloan is winning against formal champ Kvitova who is like one of the best grass court players in the WTA
That’s funny.
well did you see Kvitova play when she was winning wimbledon ? she looked Unbeatable.... it looked like she was 2 levels above everybody elseApparently, her skills were not enough.
Indeed. Kvitova losing is not suprising at all. So much for the worst of her fans once claiming she was going to be some Wimbledon legend or is the "princess" of the event. Ridiculous.

i recall her beating Venus like 7-5,7-5
in other words, very close with a past prime Venus. So, no not unbeatable.
also there are 2 current players with 5 and 7 Wimbledons respectively. So no Petra was not the queen or princess of Wimbledon
Just looking at this and are they kidding? Kiki Bertens is 11th best to win with 2.4%? She’s lost her last SEVEN matches. She’s higher than Serena? Come on.Here's how Tennis Abstract's prediction model sees it, percentage chance to win the title.
Seed Name Nationality % Chance to Win 1 Ashleigh Barty Australia 25.4% 10 Petra Kvitova Czechia 07.1% 11 Garbine Muguruza Spain 06.0% 21 Ons Jabeur Tunisia 05.6% 8 Karolina Pliskova Czechia 04.7% 20 Coco Gauff USA 04.5% 25 Angelique Kerber Germany 03.8% 2 Aryna Sabalenka Belarus 03.3% 9 Belinda Bencic Switzerland 02.9% 4 Sofia Kenin USA 02.5% 17 Kiki Bertens Netherlands 02.4% 31 Daria Kasatkina Russia 02.2% 6 Serena Williams USA 02.1% 23 Madison Keys USA 02.1% 13 Elise Mertens Belgium 02.0% 12 Victoria Azarenka Belarus 01.9% 15 Maria Sakkari Greece 01.6% 3 Elina Svitolina Ukraine 01.5% 28 Alison Riske USA 01.5% Unseeded Jelena Ostapenko Latvia 01.3% 29 Veronika Kudermetova Russia 01.2% Unseeded Liudmila Samsonova Russia 01.2% 7 Iga Swiatek Poland 01.1% 27 Johanna Konta Great Britain 01.0%

Watson pushed Serena hard a few years ago, but loses in R1 to players like Ahn who are hungrier. Not sure how Watson remains in the top 100, seems to get to a couple of SFs each year in low level events and wins the odd title every few years. A fair few of the Brits given wildcards or even direct entry, I'd imagine would struggle to win through Wimbledon qualies, and I'm not trying to be harsh, it just seems legitimately the case.
When I think back to Stosur's 2011 USO win it makes me realise how fast these 10 years have gone. Remember that so well.Sam Stosur of all people saves TRIPLE match points on Rogers serve. She holds, breaks Shelby and holds again to force a 3rd set! Wow.
Yeah I feel that. Kvitova beating Bouchard in the Wimbledon final feels so recent and that was SEVEN years ago???When I think back to Stosur's 2011 USO win it makes me realise how fast these 10 years have gone. Remember that so well.
And true to Stosur form, it looks like she'll lose from a winning position. She broke Rogers to go up the break in the 3rd 2-1 and has now lost 4 games straight. Rogers a game away from the win.Sam Stosur of all people saves TRIPLE match points on Rogers serve. She holds, breaks Shelby and holds again to force a 3rd set! Wow.
The AELTC must be very confident that Venus Williams will win. Rare for a former, multiple, ageing, popular champion to be put on an outside court.
Do they? They always play with her
so you are saying K Ahn could go all the way to the Final ??Watson pushed Serena hard a few years ago, but loses in R1 to players like Ahn who are hungrier. Samsonova seems like a decent shot. Closed out Kanepi in just over an hour. Although I don't think Kanepi has been relevant for a while, but still, good to back up berlin with a first round win here.Section 5 of the draw opening up wildly with Kvitova and Riske now out. Pliskova no sure thing at Wimbledon and the other seed is Pegula. Sloane Stephens is in there as is Berlin champ Samsonova.
I can't help but think her partnering with Kyrgios for the mixed doubles is a way of showing this is her last Wimbledon. Probably came to an agreement with Nick that he doesn't have much of a chance in singles but could win a slam title in mixed with an ATG.Really happy to see Venus won, but I caught a glimpse of her towards the end, she's looking really old now, sad to see, since I have seen her journey from the start. Hope she gets to go out on her terms here and not because of a seriously bad day due to decline.

Very Navratilova with her winning the 2006 US Open mixed doubles final (aged 49!) and bowing out.I think you maybe right, and that thought did cross my mind. One last run, and the mixed with Kyrgios seems the ideal way to be honest.
Do they?
