last 13 finals at wimby is 12-1 record (12 two setters and one 1 setter)..so barty should win it without a trouble, sabalenka/pliskova probably gonna be a error machine coz of nerves

Pliskova will handle the situation if she can get there. It’s been 5 years since her finals fail at USO from up a break in the third set vs Kerber. She had done the heavy lifting before that final by defeating both Williams sisters but she let Angie off the hook.

But in slam finals the bashers sometimes become more erratic due to nerves (or indeed enter the zone and play like Cilic in the US Open Final), especially Sabalenka because she has no slam final experience.
I think the veteran Pliskova is less likely to choke in the slam final.
I don't think either of them will beat Barty though anyway.

Pliskova serves it out for the second set, 6-4.....on to a deciding third set. Sabalenka needs to clean-up the errors to take it. It's been a good battle despite some of the nervous play, IMO.

This is an entertaining match, and its why a lot of people found the Nadal-Djokovic RG SF very entertaining - it was full of really bad errors but that added to the drama and unpredictability.

Looks weird when Sabalenka doesn't complete her stroke on a stationary shot and puts it into the net, did that multiple times in the 1st Set too despite winning it.
