Play starts on Monday 5th April

2021 WTA SDL sheet - LEAGUE FILE

Rules of the game:

1. It's a knock out-system: if the player you picked wins, you're through to the next round. If she loses, you're out.

2. You can pick a player only ONCE. Obviously it's important to make smart choices in order to get far. If you have no picks remaining, you're eliminated from the competition.

3. You can't pick a player from a match that has started already.

4. You cannot advance to the next round via a walkover since it is hard to know exactly when someone announced they were pulling out HOWEVER this rule does not apply once you reach the semifinals

5. As you cannot win a match by a walkover it is highly advised that you make a back-up pick to your main pick.
Your pick and back up cannot be from the same match. If so, your back up will be invalidated.
If your main pick is invalid (ie late, unreadable or unspecific) then your back up will become your pick.

6. If the player you picked retires during the match, you're out. If she retires before the match, your back-up pick will be used unless you change your pick before your back up match begins.

7. NEVER edit your pick. If you want to change your pick, please quote your old pick and choose a new player. Edited posts will not be taken into consideration.

8. New rule for 2021: For late picks, we will use whichever timestamp Flashscore.com shows for the match. Your post must be made before the time Flashscore gives. Keep in mind, Flashscore might round the start time (ie if a match begins at 12:07, Flashscore might show 12:05 or 12:10.). Ties will not be counted.

We will be picking 6 pick's for each of this tournaments. 1 pick per round

2 correct picks: 70
3 correct picks: 120

For the R1 pick, I almost went with Mertens to beat a player called BYE, who seems to come from a
strong tennis family - there are 7 siblings, also BYEs, playing in the first round as well.

I can't believe I fell for that one. :-D

Vondrousova is still in the tourney, but is no longer playing in R1. Her match with Timea Babos was canceled, and Babos is now playing Bouzkova in R1.
Wang Xinyu came in as a lucky loser to play. Apparently Kiki Bertens disappeared.

I immediately like you because Steffi is my all-time favourite lady player.
You'll stay at this neat party and pick someone for the first round, won't you?
Fine people here. They don't laugh and taunt when you lose.
Thank you, but I try to remove myself from it so I'm not too upset once I am proven wrong.

Someone retired within the first game or two today. I want to to see who it was, but I don't have the energy anymore. It's a sea of hopelessness.

Barty was in a 500 in both Adelaide and the Yarra Valley and is in a 3rd this week but ok, play dumb....

Meanwhile:
Other 10 players like Osaka, Halep, Serena, Pliskova have played just one 500 all year.
You're so helpful, Darcy! Who needs sources when I have you to prove all my points for me. I trust you're accurate too. Have a like.
