Barty so should have lost that match. When watching, I was thinking the same thing. I remembered somebody had picked Barty, the one seed, and she can't make it out of her first match?

I almost went Gauff, glad I didn't. I haven't been picking well lately, lol.

I saw the result this morning. Thought Barty dropped a set due to rustiness. I checked the point-by-point score now.
Noticed she saved MP before winning. I got lucky twice in this winning run. My back-up also saved MP before winning.

Yes. According to flashscore, her record against players outside the top 100
is 29-2(losing only to Serena and Kuznetsova) since Aug. 2017. That and the strong odds lured me into picking her.
