2021 Yonex VCore Pro Official Thread

That is a bummer! Does it have more power than the previous Vcore pros?
I think it has less. This model and the Percept are the much more flexible layup. Previous ones were stiffer.
Tiafoe uses this layup but with higher swing-weight, up around 340 I think.

I'm considering the 2021 Vcore pro 97 as i'm recovering from TE and it seems quite arm friendly, however i don't know much about its power level. Could someone chip in and let me know?
Thank you!
Echoing what’s been said already. The VCP97 2021 is a low powered frame considering it’s 60 flex. I used to play with this racket but switched to the 2021 VCore 95 last year, a far better frame IMO. If you’ve got TE, a racket with a 320-325 swing weight might be a better idea and string below 50lbs. To increase the swing weight on the VCP97 310, weight at 10 & 2 totalling 6g and counterweighted in the handle and overgrip helps. This is how I had mine setup. If I had stuck with the frame, I probably would have put a leather grip instead of weights on the handle.

So for paintjob reasons I re-bought a VCore Pro 100 2021. Now equipped with the Briffidi, I instantly measured the specs and twist weight is very interesting. I strung it with the Lynx Tour 1.30 and MSV Cofocus 1.18. The swing weight came out at 325 pts, and the twist weight at the whopping 14.05. I have a couple of older Ezone 100, and they both have the same SW, but lower TW.
So even prior to the measurements I thought that the VCP100 must be the quickest yonex 100 through the air. But its also one of the highest TWs from the whole yonex line-up, so very unique combination, reminded me of the Prestige MP-L 21 in many aspects. I might need to put some lead at 12 to slow it down a bit. Also need to find a string setup with good feel. With my current setup, the whole feel is gone after one hit.

Thanks for sharing. The 2021 Vcore Pro lineup have one of the best cosmetics ever, IMO. I've owned a couple 97D's as well as the standard 97. They are very high quality frames. I've since sold them off, but part of me wants to hunt one down that's in nice condition just to have again for fun. I've always been interested in the VCP 100 but I never hit with that one or pulled the trigger.
