I do think this will be closer than both previous matches of Nadal, although the result is inevitable in form of yet another rafa win.

True. But he took 6 months off prior to AO. I'm pretty sure he's healthy and can add in a tournament or two to maintain his form and confidence and momentum. As long as he's taking breaks, he's good.
