Yes, in a normal era one has the right to expect from top players to be able to give a fight to each other, and also beat each other from time to time. When the so called "top players" can't do anything against a 33-35 years old player for a few years, it shows what kind of "top players" they are. And they fully deserve the bashing they get. You sound like someone who started watching tennis around 2018, and has no idea what a normal era is.

What massive 5 set battles are you talking about? Tsitsipas won 2 sets in these matches, but in the 3 he lost he didn't even give a fight. By logic, he should be better in long matches against a player who is 11 years older, but somehow it's the other way around. I don't consider winning 1-2 sets and collapsing like a total mug in the others giving a fight, at least not when it happens more than once. Also, a horrible choke in Rome 2021, there were no excuses not to win this match.
