Hey, why there's no talk about this match?
Both undefeated, the group winner plays here.

Fritz a slight favourite.

Fritz winning 2-0 will leave a SF door open for Nadal.

Fritz winning 2-0 will leave a SF door open for Nadal.

Open just by a tiny, tiny crack. Nadal would have to beat Ruud in straight sets, and Fritz would have to beat FAA in straight sets. Only then would all three (bar Fritz) be tied on 1 win each, and a 2-4 set WL record. Then it would go to game won percentage, and it's not like Nadal has done amazingly so far in that respect ...

Not 100% given, I think? E.g. if Fritz wins here, FAA beats Fritz, and Nadal beats Ruud, then FAA and Fritz are both on 2 wins, and FAA wins the group by H2H. Am I missing something?
You're right but we can be almost certain that either Ruud or Fritz will be a group winner.

This one's a tough call. Could easily go either way in 2, but if it goes 3, I see Fritz taking it, with a bit more mental fortitude and determination. Now that I said that, it will probably be Ruud in 3, lol.

Nadal's chances of year ending number one hanging on by a thread here, depends on if Fritiz helps him out here.

If this goes to 3 sets or Fritz loses more than 10 games or Ruud wins in 2 sets, it's over for Nadal.

Ruud wins in 3 sets for this one.

Not having as much mental toughness as Fritz is the ruudest thing anyone's ever said about Casper.

I thought Fritz had improved quite a bit mentally as of late, and on the occasion may just be more motivated. Wasn't meant as a dig at Ruud. He's quite balanced in his own right.

Lmao TT warehouse, going by what people said in here Ruud was barely like a mascot showing up as a punching bag for the others!

everyone was going big on that fritz performance vs nadal whereas the reality is, that nadal would have made retired fed look like a god

Decent stuff so far from the player who wouldn't win a match

Very good stuff from Ruud here, keeping Fritz totally in the dark in his service games.

Hope he can keep it up. He normally drops in level after sets like these.

It's all Scandinavian:
the Norwegian wins, will Finnish player let the Dane to play?

Technical question: If Nadal TODAY decides he won't play anymore, and Rune takes his spot, and then tomorrow BEFORE the matches in other group someone of that group withdraws as well, will Rune then have to stick to his place in Nadal's group, despite he could play 2 matches in the other group and despite he only would have chances to advance in THAT group? Or could he still choose that other group then and let the 2nd alternate player go into Nadal's group?

That game could have turned out quite differently with electronic line calling. I think it's over for linesmen.
