The Fedfather
Legend
What the hell was that?
FluukeThe amount of luck Ruud has with the net and lines is insane in this match though. Everything going his way
Based on what I've seen, he's playing better than FAA. SF is still a good possibility.Damn it. Either Fritz or FAA in the semis. Honestly, Taylor just messed up here. Stole the 2nd set of course but should've done much better in this TB. Certainly had the ability.
36 winners each. Ruud 15 UEs, Fritz 16.Aww damn, was rooting for Fritz. Ruud seems nice and all but I get so bored of his game. He reminds me of Juan Monaco in terms of playing style.
so wuts the point lol posting this funny stuff kralingenThat’ll do quite nicely. Well deserved win Ruud.
Is that Ruuds GF or sister, the hot blonde one?

What a year Ruud is having. 2 Slam finals and will be in the ATP Finals SF. That was well done.
Yea me too. Showing that he is not just good on clay on two fast courts in big tournaments: here and the USO. Serve and forehand are great. Imagine if he improves that backhand. He can get even better.Yes, what has impressed me is that he is doing it on fast indoor HC here in Turin.

That forehand can be a rocket at times. Very nice shot indeed. He's a workhorse but good to have guys like that in game imo. He's growing on me. I do like that forehand.
Yea I agree on that too. I think he's a bit underrated as a player.+ great footwork, super fit

Yea he's very similar to Ferrer but I think he has a bigger forehand. Yea it's one of the better forehands in the game right now. Nice spin on it too.Very Ferrer like with his approach. But that forehand does make him someone you want to watch, if he is in the flow.
Agreed. He is a terrific player and super professional. A great example on court and behaves so well. Very likeable guy.
15 aces tonight and 69% unreturned serves... Ferrer had a weak serve.Yea he's very similar to Ferrer but I think he has a bigger forehand. Yea it's one of the better forehands in the game right now. Nice spin on it too.
I'm not saying he doesn't hit winners, it's just very monotonous and "safe" to me36 winners each. Ruud 15 UEs, Fritz 16.
Yea you're right; at least a weaker serve than Ruud. Ruud probably has a weaker backhand. Ruud's serve was firing tonight and he outserved Fritz.15 aces tonight and 69% unreturned serves... Ferrer had a weak serve.

Yea Del Potro has a hammer forehand and game changer. Lol. Ruud's is not quite that level but yea one that stands out amongst the current players. 16 winners off that wing from him tonight.I'd still take the Del Potro forehand any day of the week for pure spectacle, and horsepower....I think Ruud probably would too. LOL But, on the current tour, yes, it is one of the ones that brings the hot sauce to a wing party.

Lol. I'm almost certain that Nadal will be aiming for the backhand 60-70% of the time. Now lets see it against Nadal.

LOLAlmost?
I AM certain.
So why is he so underrated on TTW?He is a terrific player and super professional. A great example on court and behaves so well. Very likeable guy.
0-2 slam finals, 0-1 M1K finals, zero 500 finals, 9 250 titles (8 on clay), 1 match win at Wimbledon, 4 total on grass. Is that enough data to suggest he’s a bit of an underperformer for a player who crested at #2?So why is he so underrated on TTW?
