I can't understand how Tsitsipas has not come further than he already has. The guy has an extraordinary game and talent. He is incredible at the net aswell, few who can play like he does at the net. He loses too many close matches but today he found a way but it was thanks to Med collaps there serving for the match.
His weaknesses are too prominent; namely his backhand and his return. He has some good weapons and versatility but there is a clear game plan for the top guys like Djokovic to beat him.

True, but he has no reason to give it his all against Med now. So Friday-Saturday-Sunday doesn't seem so bad now.
I think he should still play for the win. It's good for him to build up confidence and knock down Daniil's in this matchup. If it becomes a grindfest he can opt out but go for the win playing aggressive tennis and if you lose you lose no big deal but I think a win would be good for the future.

Just watched the highlights — always entertaining with these two. Definitely my favourite rivalry among the younger players.

Yep, it's a shame. You watch Tsitsi play and there are frequent moments in a rally where I'm just thinking 'man, if only he could do more damage with that backhand ...'. He actually nailed one DTL backhand in a rally with Medvedev and it clearly hurt him, not majorly, but got him slightly off balance as it was so unexpected.

Most of his game is great, but the weak points are really holding him back from flourishing/becoming dominant at the elite level.

Lol there are really people on this forum who vote in the polls after the matches have concluded (but usually only when their names are visible in the poll results so that they can take credit).

What about all these Forehand slices Stepanoe was hitting,,, it was big time effective, perhaps we should learn this shot more, it works in the pros

That's why polls need to be closed before the match starts or just make em anonymous. They'll never learn though
