Novak will be disappointed to not face that other Spaniard.

Novak in STRAIGHTS. He will be a bad matchup for Alcaraz just on the playing styles.
Novak absorbs pace well and does NOT make errors at all. Plus he usually has an advantage on serve-return combo with GOAT returning and vastly superior serve to Alcaraz.

Mark my Words: Alcaraz-Novak will be a very lopsided H2h over the years. The only way Alcaraz wins is when Novak gets old.
Alcaraz will NEVER present the matchup problems to Novak like Medvedev, Stan or even Federer could.

I have no idea who will win tomorrow. I want it to be Carlos and I am predicting him to win. I simply can't stand Djokovic, have never liked him at all, and always root against him. It is what it is. I know Novak is a great player, one of the three greatest of all time, but I just plain don't like him. So I am "hope-dicting" Alcaraz, which certainly can happen, but will it? Either way Carlos has made it to yet another semis - in the seven tournaments he has played in 2022 he has made it to 5 semis, and has won 3 finals! :) He has only had one bad loss so far this year, two of his losses went the distance. That's a remarkable record! He is now 26-3 for 2022!

I wanted Djokodal, hoping Alcaraz brings something interesting to shake off Nole's rust once and for all.

I’ll second all of that.

I'm taking Alcaraz in 3 tight sets. This kid has all of the tools. His return game is insane right now. He just won't give up any aces. And once he has a neutral ball, he can run with anybody. Alcaraz was extremely clutch against Nadal today as well.

With that being said, I think that Djoker will put up a bigger fight than the rusty Nadal did. But I also believe that this win by Alcaraz will give him the confidence that he needs to raise his game to another level.

Could the tide be turning again? Djokovic been playing well recently while Nadal has been looking off form recently. Alcaraz is legit in my opinion. I would be shocked if he doesn't have at least a Hewitt level career. He's better than a lot of players that will be his main competition in a few years.

omg, the worst case scenario is he has a Sampras level career.

Huge? It's about 77th Novak's masters semifinal... It's gonna be huge for Alcaraz, that's true...
