2022 ATP Sudden Death League: US Open

I have 7 of the 8 players remaining available to me...and I have no idea what I am doing. I just picked who I thought would win and pray LOL
I'm the same, only one i've burned is Ruud.

But I mean looking at these options:

Kyrgios v Khachanov. Kyrgios is the easy pick but now he's arguably the title favourite so we don't want to burn him
Berrettini v Ruud. Ruud is the one with the shot at #1 but up against a more proven Berrettini. H2H is tight at 3-2 for Ruud. Both have played a 5 setter and two 4 setters.
Sinner v Alcaraz. Both just played 5 setters in their 4R matches. Sinner also went 5 sets in the 1R and 4 sets in the 3R. But the pair met just last month in the Croatia Open final and Sinner won in 3.
Rublev v Tiafoe. Rublev has now played two 5 setters this tournament, Tiafoe meanwhile has only dropped one set to the QF. Tiafoe also defeated Rublev in the 3R of this USO last year. So even though Rublev is the higher seed, all points lead to Tiafoe.

So this is brutal to choose.

After a long debate about Tiafoe and Berrettini for my QF pick I went with Berrettini not because I had faith in him, but because all players who have shocked Rafa in a grand slam have laid a major goose egg in the next round.
Oh well! It was a good run while it lasted.

Edit: Major props to Tiafoe for continuing the run and keeping up the level.

Congrats to @BGod as last one standing and with three choices available. Hope you grab the title!

So many people to thank.

But seriously I only made first Slam Quarter this year at the French I think and now my first Semi. I chose Tiafoe thinking ahead of remaining players.

I will likely choose Khachanov for my SF pick as I don't see him winning a Final against Sinner or Alcaraz.

And pray Tiafoe doesn’t wreck your plan, no?

up to date - LEAGUE FILE

No winners at any of the Slams this year.. but well played to @BGod who had a good run at USO.

The race is taking shape with only 5 events remaining before the WTF's. Top 8 qualify for the bonus comp but there is also a regular comp for everyone.

next up is Tokyo and Nur-Sultan in 3 weeks, see you there
