I'm predicting...

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
There's no Nadal vs Djokovic, we have Nadal vs Berrettini instead.
Quite significant match, how will it go?

Nadal at 35 years old has better mobility than the Italian and his backhand is a great shortcoming that I am sure the Spanish player will know how to take advantage of.
Nadal in four sets!

Nadal's short return will be feasted by Berettini's fh

A real Nadal who we can be certain is not a zombie would be the big favorite and likely beat Berrettini in straights.

This Nadal though still has multiple zombie allegations. He will not have a good time if Berrettini keeps his 1st serve % high

I expect a full recovery from Rafa after 2 days. But if his explosiveness is off, we could see a couple TB sets and it could get interesting.

Nadal in 4.

Lol you said the same bs for Shapo match and Nadal almost lost the match. Stop over hyping Nadal. Berettini will be heavy favourite and his BH has improved .

BERRE BERRY INTERESTING MATCH!

Diarrhoea dripped NADAL vs Backhand less Matteu.

i say the upset stomach takes the physical toll on Nads and HUGO BOSS takes it in 5.
It would be foolish to go against you after the Cecchinato prediction and I hope you are right. Just can't see it happening with all my efforts, lol.

shapo choked and UE'd himself to death which is exactly what I predicted.

I think the 2 days off/night match will help Nadal a lot. I've seen that Majorcan special sauce rejuvenate him all his career.

Plus his gameplan here is simple. Topspin to da BH, no? I will give the benefit of the doubt to Rafa. That being said Berrettini does have a real chance, but the real chance is mainly centered around Nadal falling apart physically.

Going with Rafa in 4, I think he slumps at some point to gift Berra a set but the gameplan here is straightforward enough for him to pick it back up

You talked about some easy peasy victory for Rafa lol .didn't you ?
Berettini's bh looks improved and can rally , albeit his movement can be exploited .

I expect a couple tiebreaks and the outcome of those will largely decide the match. Coinflip IMO.

I'll go with Nadal in 4, maybe 3 - I don't trust Berrettini's BH to hold up, and his serve can only take him so far.

Berrettini is at that stage of his career where he still appears to be getting better, so you never know what to expect, but as long as Nadal can live with/keep up with his opponents serving I think the old topspin into the backhand trick, and the fact that he eats slice for breakfast makes this a pretty great matchup for him back in the haven of the lefty/righty patterns.

Monfils also would have made him play more long points than Berrettini will, and he doesn't want to get into either at this stage in the game. So on paper it looks like it's all upside for Nadal...
