I am guessing you missed all the vitriol against Djokovic as you are new here? Probably hundreds of threads deleted that were insulting him, particularly during the AO 22 trial and detention?
For gosh's sake, he was detained/arrested for having the same paperwork that allowed several people to enter the country days before he was denied it? He was called a public threat not for his views, but for the public's perception of his views? You missed all that, how come?
You miss the booing of him when playing in the Western countries too? There is, at the moment, no tennis player hated more than Djokovic, much of this is due to Serbo and Balkano phobia.
So, please admit to not knowing what happens even on TTW, as you admit to knowing only the threads of the last two months or so.
I agree with you that some rabid fans are intolerable, but you sound like a rabid Rafa fan in the post above.

You can see my joining date. I’ve never been near a tennis forum before that. So no, I did not see what was written here about him during his trial and detention. You can choose to believe me or not, I don’t mind. I do agree with you that there was plenty of vitriol online though which I did see as I have a Twitter account.

We need to be honest here. Djokovic sabotaged himself with this tantrum. I get it, it is his body, his choice. But, the consequences of not playing till April, with one match in Dubai is huge. He lost the rhythm, the drive, he is not feared. Tennis is a sport where you need matches to keep your level up, you need to play against the best all the time, to be on top. I can be the top dog in practice, but when matches come, the experience is huge. It should not be that difficult for him to beat Rublev, or Kecmanovic, we all know that. But, it can be difficult for Novak that did not truly play any tennis since November 2021.
Still, Rafa came guns a blazing after several injuries and no matches. I am thinking that the psychological effects of being detained, having a trial for all to see, being dragged through the mud, and not in a way he is used to, was extremely hard and it will take a lot of time for him to recover.

Rafa struggled like hell to gain any confidence or momentum throughout 2015-2016. Basically in Djokovic's case, playing so few matches along with the opposition not fearing you can lead to difficulty in trying to regain your groove.

Tragic but how is that Rublev’s fault?

I didn't say it was. Tennis players pass over the world playing in countries that are extreme but have money. They can't ignore it anymore. The bread and circuses days are over. The only reason I hate Wimbledon is that they've thrown out two of the people who could beat Djokovic. Nadal should come out and say he won't play Wimbledon ever. Great press and he can't win it anyway so its a real winner, puts the pressure on Djokovic.
