3-0 rublev. Not looking good now.
Humidity killed Djokovic, Kyrgiosity killed the racket. Will humility eventually kill Nadal?
Rublev is perfectly placed for Roland Garros, close enough to peak by Rome and RG.Djokovic is playing pretty average today (with moments of brilliance). The fact that Rublev did not win in straight sets tells more about his form than Djokovic's..
This is one of those typical matches where his energy level corresponds to the score. He'll get aced and double over in supposed exhaustion. Then he'll win a 20 shot rally and be fine. If he took one of those early BPs in Rublev's opening game this set then he wouldn't have gone full Drunkovic dgaf footwork in the next game. His energy levels never drop off that drastically that quickly. It's mental, and this match apparently isn't enough for him to get angry about and push through.Except he obviously is lol.

He could get away with it if he had Agassi level groundstrokes /sNovak legs aren't working anymore. He'll have to play like Fognini, and we all know what happened to him against Rublev.
He obviously uses his physical state to his advantage and attempts to lull his opponent into a false sense of security or destabilise them mentally from time to time, that's no secret, but if you take into account the fact that he was quite obviously gassed from the the end of the second set onwards in his first match back in MC while completely collapsing in the third and consider his his lack of match play in the last 6 months along with the fact that this is the most physical surface in the sport, I don't see why him being genuinely exhausted given the amount of tennis he's played this week is far fetched, especially at 35 years old. This is one of those typical matches where his energy level corresponds to the score. Close it out!!!C'mon Rublev, don't fold...
He’s been out for 3 months but it’s hard for people to understand why he’s playing unusually bad.Dude, he's gassed. Lol. It's not a conspiracy. It's human anatomy.
I get that he’s tired, but the total lack of effort by Djoko is pretty embarrassing to see.
He looks sick, not just tired. He’s been out for 3 months but it’s hard for people to understand why he’s playing unusually bad.

My point is we've seen him this gassed a hundred times, but he usually pushes through it and makes you forget that ever happened. This looks like a match he didn't think he could win even if he suffered through it, so he just threw in the towel. He's hitting incredibly sloppy shots even when in good position. He obviously uses his physical state to his advantages and attempts to lull his opponent into a false sense of security from time to time, that's no secret, but if you take into account the fact that he was quite obviously gassed from the the end of the second set onwards in his first match back in MC while completely collapsing in the third and consider his his lack of match play in the last 6 months along with the fact that this is the most physical surface in the sport, I don't see why him being genuinely exhausted given the amount of tennis he's played this week is far fetched, especially at 35 years old.
Try 2007-09 in various patches. The difference is, in those years, he simply retired from the match. He can't do that today in front of his home crowd.Never seen Djokovic look this weak.
Choke time.
Long Covid maybe? Who knows...It's not normal for a professional tennis player - who is well-rested and well-known for fitness - to be so exhausted in a third set.
