Matteo

Wonder if Cressy can do some damage on the very fast Stuttgrass. Tricky first round against the young Stricker, who despite his size should also turn into a pretty decent lawn man.

If it’s a Stuttgart main draw match and Stricker is playing, expect multiple TBs. Today it was three of them in his win vs Cressy; last year it was 6 of 7 sets going to an extra frame in his three matches. His Kryptonite was a 3-6 third set loss to Querrey in the QFs.

Next up is Platopas

It's now 3-2, Tsitsipas. Of course, the ATP website won't tell you that

Andrea! Call me if you need help with any of the ATP's technical needs.

Beating Murray on grass would be a good progress for Tsitsipas on grass
Points are important this week IF (probably a “when”) Nadal plays Wimby. A win in QFs is only the first in three steps to enter Halle/London ahead of a very weak (on grass) #5 Ruud. The points will also insulate him from Alcaraz passing him for top 4 and making Wimby QFs much tougher by being #5 seed instead of #4. Of course, it will take a career best to still be alive in R16 at SW19.

Beating Murray this week might make him more confident that hiring Enqvist is the very best move he has made in his pro career.

It feels good seeing people still say stuff like this about Murray. There is no doubt his best days are behind him but even now when people are talking about him on grass they still acknowldge that he's a very very dangerous opponent, even for a top 5 player like Tsitsipas. I'm really hoping it's a good match today and not one sided in either direction.
