Not more hilarious than the weird shrit Stef is wearing.
Did you miss the clay season? Platopas and a lot of Adidas contract players wore the same shirts in green and black versions. The symbols celebrate the botanical gardens surrounding Roland Garros. Obviously, it will be retired from their rotation very soon so as not to break Wimby rules.

The sooner the better. They were a nice novelty at first, but everyone is wearing them, and rarely do they wear the green one. It gets bland after a while.

Yep didn't watch much tennis before quarters of RG

It feels good seeing people still say stuff like this about Murray. There is no doubt his best days are behind him but even now when people are talking about him on grass they still acknowldge that he's a very very dangerous opponent, even for a top 5 player like Tsitsipas. I'm really hoping it's a good match today and not one sided in either direction.
Well on grass Murray can be dangerous as he proved today, it's a surface which best for physical declined bodies and in addition Murray's gamestyle is aptly suited for grass

Murray aside, with Zverev out and Medvedev forced out and Tsitsipas clearly still not comfortable on grass. Berrettini really does have a shot of making another Wimbledon final.
Well Berrettini is the best player of the entire NextGen on grass. He is also the best server and has the best FH and best slice of the lot.

The funny thing is that even if Berrettini were the sweep the entire grass season, in other words win Stuttgart, Queens and Wimbledon, he would still drop out of the top 15 - and likely out of the top 20. Utterly disgusting.

An act of utter unspeakable odiousness to be sure, punctuated by Casper Ruud likely entering the top 5 as Matteo drops to the 20s.

Berrettini is legitimately better at everything.

Hey man I've seen Casper actually make a backhand return.

Real talk though...the only area Berrettini is noticeably better is the serve. Maybe a little more raw power off the forehand too, whereas Casper needs to work the point a little more.

Casper can work the point well, it's just that other players control the point better.

That's not really the point, though I love how everything randomly degenerates into indiscriminate Ruud-bashing :-D

But imagine coming back from surgery as a top 10 player, dominating the grass season, punctuating it with a historic Wimbledon triumph, and as a reward finding yourself out of the top 20, out of the top seeds for the hard court season and US open, and out of the WTF in your home country (after already having had to withdraw due to injury the previous year).

Not that I'm saying that Berrettini will accomplish that (he is clearly and understandably not in top condition), but when such a scenario is technically possible, something has gone terribly wrong.

Novak will be ranked lower than Ruud soon. lol

Even the most chiseled of cores (Fucsovics) are subject to lumbar issues. Marton retired down 6-7 0-3 to Quick Nick. Lower back.

Doesn't bode well for Nick based on their past matches, this will be Nicks first match against the Bionic Murray....

Hasn’t Kyrgios always respected Andy Murray, been friendly with him? I’m just trying to remember….not that it has anything to do with anything at all! Hoping for a great match.

What's Nick fella ranting about this time.

(I know it's because he's losing, but don't know what the excuse is.)

When did Kyrgios last lose without having one of his wee meltdowns? By my count this makes three in a row, after Opelka in Houston and Sinner in Miami.

Playing fast to his own detriment there. Take a breath and settle down, or continue to act like a teenager and lose.
It's not about playing fast really. It's that he was blasting 1st serves only because he was mad. It's just all his typical childishness.

I mean taking some time to settle down would've helped of course, but he's not very good at doing that.
