Amazing match. Both players gave it all. Alcaraz is the future multi slam winner, no doubt about it. He has it all..... Congarts to both...

Baby Vamos was close to being in the TTW dog house too. It’s a fine line on TTW between the TTW dog house and multi slam winner.

Kecmanovic is SOME player. I was really impressed. How is he only ranked #48 in the world? To me he looks like the best player to come out of Serbia since You-Know-Who (at least on the basis of tonight's performance).
Doesn't always play this way, but is doing so recently. His ranking will jump to reflect it if he keeps it up. Plus the injury which stopped his development a year or so back.

I don't know if it has been discussed.

Alcaraz's coach Ferrero is not there with him since the 3rd match. Ferrero's father passed away, so he had to fly back.

Missed Medvedev match, what happened, expected Med to win????
Medvedev was out of sorts, didn't look well at all. Surprised he came back and got it to a tiebreak in the first set, he was down 2-5 but lost that set in a tiebreak. It was more that Med didn't play well then superb play from Hurkacz in my opinion. Neither of them did well on second serve points.

Is this kid going to win the Miami Open?
Might be a bit tired after today that was insane stuff. Hurcasz seems a Miami specialist which is not a facetious a comment as it seems as that court is utter garbage and unique. Its not a hard court really more like some synthetic stuff they have put down over grass.

Kecmanovic had a terrible year last year, but hired Nalbandian during the Cordoba and Buenos Aires clay tournaments some weeks ago, and has been playing great ever since

Meddy not at his physical best or so he said afterwards. Doesn't detract from Hubie's great performance of course.
Did you really think Hurkacz had a great performance though? I thought he was good but not great and his stats reflect it. At least for me it was that Medvedev didn't play well more than Hubie playing all that well... that's just my opinion though. I love Hubie btw, just not in the next round! (;

Medvedev cramped again. This is becoming a huge problem for him. Career derailing unless they figure it out.

Interesting to see Nalby coaching. Think that's the first time I've seen him anywhere near a tennis court since he retired. Certainly seems to be having a positive effect on his charge's game.

Well, I didn't see the whole match but, from what I saw, Hurkacz looked to be returning great and deserved to win. Of course I guess we can't ever know how things would have turned out if Medvedev had been fully fit.

Miami conditions are tailor made for him though. My concern for him is his serve is nowhere near good enough. Solid player but doubt he will crack the top 10.

It's not crazy that Carlos just might make his entry to the top ten before his 19th birthday now. Wins here or Monte Carlo, it's highly likely.
Novak is playing MC. So no Alcatraz won't win there. He can win here with Nadal and Novak absence.
